Powerplay Point Podcast

As Our Caps and the rest of the NHL bound toward the trade deadline, we are facing a makeover for them the likes of which may not be seen again. So naturally I gave Anna the weeks off for her birthday.

Joining me is Marcus Lemley of the Sucram's Capitals Off Their Chain podcast. We first evaluate the four games played over the past week. We then go into a dialogue about...you guessed it, who will most likely no longer be a Capital by this time next week.

On that subject, tune in to next week's episode where Marcus and I further evaluate the Capitals' activities (or perhaps the lack thereof?) post deadline.

Some like it hot, Caps may be getting there....

Anna and I go over the last three games n which Our Caps go 2-0-1. Perhaps they're learning to play as a team? And what will they do about the rash of injuries? Who is being a standout? All the answers to these ane more in our latest episode....enjoy!

With rapid fire action, Anna and I go over the 3 games played from Super Bowl Sunday to today. Our Caps went 1-1-1 displaying a marked improvement in their overall play and still proving they can keep up (mostly) with some of the top teams in the NHL.

Unfortunately some of the on-ice officials are having a LOT of trouble keeping up. We got into an extended rant caused by their latest such display of incompetence as was shown the the recent game in Montreal.  Enjoy!

Blueliner opens the show alone for our first segment. In their first action since the All Star Break, Our Caps go 1-2. But before we go through the recaps I have a personal message about the other happenings this week.

As we go through the games that were played on the Dads and Mentors trip, I am joined via call-in by none other than our own C4 and Mrs. Blueliner. Our focus game this week is the win against the Bruins,  Enjoy!

In or recording before the All Star break, the Mermaid and I go over a road trip for Our Caps that was almost as disastrous as a Chevy Chase Vacation movie. Joining us this week is Caps fan Troy Evans who is a star athlete in the Virginia Special Olympics who shares his experiences as a Caps fan and as a Special Olympian.

As there are no further games until well into next month, the Triple P will be taking its own break next week. Tune in February 11th for our next episode. Thanks for hanging with us!

Anna and I go over the three games played last week during the lovely wintery weather we've had here.  A featured component was the contributions of TJ Oshie so we also go over what he (still) means to the team...and why he may not be as disposable as previously thought,

We close with a personal message for one of our family members, Cheryl Anne Forster (C4) who lost her beloved mother this week. We send our love and prayers with you.

Not that we don't have stuff to grumble about, So naturally we do.  Gripe along with us and enjoy!

Anna is back to start the new year....

But the first week wasn't a fun one. As a result we're not in a very good mood. Apologies to those it might affect but this goaround we are going to tell it like it is....

We are not happy with the Caps play as of late.

PArt 2 of the episode continues with the conclusion of our recap of the Dec. 30th game against the Nashville Predators that ended in controversy. What kind of controversy? Why the NHL being nothing more than their jackass selves of course!

Listen along and enjoy the rant!  Enjoy 2024 everybody!
