And so it ends....but just for a while anyway.

This past season was a fun and hellacious one for Our Caps and they took us all on a ride we hadn't experienced in  a while. I reserve the final commentary for two of our podcast's finest supporters, Paul Hackett anbd Stewart Small. Each has their own persepctive on what went well (and not so well) with an eye to the future for the team we all love.

So farewell for the summer, loyal listeners...and LET'S GO CAPS!

Well......we made into May. Even if Our Caps didn't :(

The Mermaid and I get together for the last of the season to put the finale on what was a surprisingly better year than expected. After recapping Game 4, we go into some positives and negatives. What should be....and shouldn't have been. And an eye towards next season.

Thanks to all of our loyal listeners for keeping us going. Tune in next week where some of you help us out by giving your takes on how the season went. Have a kick ass summer!

Anna is off today, C4 Cheryl Anne Forster steps up for cohosting duties. John Blackburn from the CAPtasTROPHIES singing duo graces our show again; both are here to provide some much needed group therapy after Our Caps go down 0-3 against the Rangers.

We go through our usual recaps of the three games, pointing out the obvious and a little of the not so obvious. Believe it or not, there is some good to be mined from what hsa happened. Always fun to discuss with knowedgeable Caps fans!

And to wind things up, John B. is good enough to entertain us solo with a song!

Please support John and Laura---go to their regular band ISFLY (I Super Fucking Love You) page for gig info at https://isflymusic.com/

Hello and welcome to the 2024 NHL PLAYOFFS!

The Mermaid and I go over the final week of the Caps' regular season fortunes, which of course resulted in their earning the last seat on the plane that is the 2024 NHL playoffs.

At about 25 minutes in we roll out several hashtags we would like for you, our listeners to spread as much you can to help us put the word out about the playoff run:

#NoquitCaps

#Capsbandofbrothers

#Talladegababy

#happyvibesCAPS

Naturally there was some backlash from how things happened. And we answer it.

And finally a very limited preview of the series against the New York Rangers---spoiler alert (to no one) the series is really going to get nasty!

Anna and I get together on this episode to discuss the next to last week of the 2024 NHL season for Our Caps. Two wins, two losses. Lots of bad things, lots of good things, Some more F bombs, maybe as much as last week. Or not.

Also mentioned is the Watchalong for the Podcast where various listeners met up for the game vs Tampa Bay at the . Thanks to those who came out. And thanks to the Irish Channel for hosting us!

The Title says it all......

The Mermaid is back from Vacation all she ever wanted vacation had to get away......

Aaaaaand we talk about the last week where the Caps went 0-2-1. Zero wins which means zero good to discuss. Which translates into a lot of F bombs.

Not, Safe. For. Work.

C4 and I continue our evaluation of the Caps' playoff run as we go over their most recent week. They go 1-1-1 with some thrilling moments along the way. All this while navigating the Quinnipiac vs. Boston College NCAA Ice Hockey tournament game featuring Caps' prospect Ryan Leonard.

FIlling in for the Mermaid while she is on Spring Break once again is Cheryl Anne Forster --C4 to everyone else. She and I go over the four games played since last Sunday including today's game against the Winnipeg Jets.

It has occurred to us that the Caps' mere presence in the hunt for a playoff spot is confusing and perhaps annoying to some, SPOILER ALERT--- we don't give a crap!

We are joined again by Marcus Lemley of the Sucram's Capitals Off Their Chain podcast now that the 2024 NHL trade deadline has come and gone. Joining us as well is Cheryl Ann Forster/C4 as well as a surprise appearance by Mrs. Blueliner herself, my wife Jennie.

We begin by reviewing the two games played in the week, both great wins over a couple of bad/very bad teams....happily one of which was the Penguins! THe other game I yelled myself hoarse so I apologize for sounding like a frog in perpetual mid-croak.

The remainder of the episode is dedicated to evaluating and analyzing the three deals made by Our Caps within the deadline period.

As always we invite YOU, the Washington Capitals fan to be a part of the discussion....join us on a future show if you want to be heard!
