In addressing addiction, it’s valuable to understand ourselves through a compassionate lens.  Your intensity of need for the thing you’re trying to let go of may be outdated.  And it can be helpful to understand how your own biology may push you in a not so healthy direction if you don’t know how to provide it with adult supervision.

This approach is more aligned if a) you have the ability to sit with some emotionality, at least briefly, even if you don’t much enjoy it and b) your addiction is something important to address but not something that any additional usage will create an immediate and terrible detrimental result in your life.

My guides offer an approach that honors both the part of you that prizes the pleasure and relief that substance or behavior provides as well as the part of you that is invested in long-term health and well-being.  When we’ve been fight with ourselves over an addiction for a long time, those parts become polarized and stuck in a massive power struggle.  This work offers a path of reconciliation that puts your inner wise person in the role of the benevolent mediator that works for the good of both aspects.

While the two may go together, energetic and emotional sensitivity are a quality, either innate or developed, that allows us to sense that which is subtle and nuanced.  Reactivity, on the other hand, is often about unresolved past emotions and sometimes a need for an upgrade in skills for relating to other people. 

The question of whether someone is “too sensitive” whether it arises as an internal conversation or based on a reflection from another person can be complicated to unpack.  The podcast just scratches the surface, but it can be a starting place for evaluating the validity of the feedback and helping you know what to do about it.  For example, if you’re dealing with a person who is messy and harsh with others and not interested in being responsible for the impact of their behavior on others, they may use “too sensitive” in an effort to shut down any efforts to address their behavior.  This is a different case than a healthy person earnestly trying to let you know that your reactivity makes it hard to sustain relationship.

This podcast will give you a starting place to begin looking at the questions, “Is it me?” “Is it them?” “Or is it both?”  And, it will give you a map for how to start to get clear enough to respond effectively in any of those cases.

My guides have often illuminated the richness and beauty of the soul experience of being transgender.  There’s also deep compassion regarding the harm that prejudiced human frameworks cause.  There are good reasons a soul may opt to come into a body which has a biological sex that is different from the individual’s gender.  Sometimes the soul’s plan doesn’t go as elegantly as hoped for or the discomfort is much greater than anticipated.  Sometimes the soul’s goal is activism.  Sometimes it’s about mastery in the less familiar form of magic and energy work that is more aligned with the energy body of a man or a woman even though that’s in opposition to the soul’s gender identity and affinity.  In any of these cases, a person may find themselves navigating a tension between the soul’s gender and the body’s birth sex.  Sometimes, it can be supportive to realign the energy body to the correct gender configuration matching that of the soul rather than the human biology.  Also, learning to move in sexuality in a manner aligned with gender, regardless of anatomy, creates space for a freer, fuller, and more aligned expression.

This is by no means a comprehensive discussion on the subject, just some frameworks that I’ve seen from the transgender clients I’ve had the honor to support.  I apologize for any misused terms or incorrect language in talking about this subject.  I incorrectly used “gender” when the correct term would have been “sex” in several places. In addition, the most up to date language changes quickly and I have more of an engaged and curious layperson level of education about the social justice conversations regarding transgender issues rather than expertise, so I may well have made other errors as well.  I hope you’ll grant me grace.  And, if you’re someone who would be hurt by incorrectly used terms or language, please don’t listen to this episode, since the last thing I would ever want to do is cause distress.

Spiritually and metaphysically inclined people often want to meet their soulmate and know their soul purpose. Many assume that knowing their soul purpose will also tell them the one thing that people will pay them lots of money to do that they will love doing.  While this can be an expression of soul purpose, it massively limits the expression of your full essence into something that is viable within the system of capitalism and may cause you to neglect some of the key things your soul would most love to experience in this lifetime.

Learn why it’s actually good news that you don’t have one (and only one) right expression of your soul in what you do to navigate money.  This will help you understand that you can have authentic expression of your soul’s essence in a number of different ways and help you to more deeply understand how to choose livelihood that is good for your soul and good for your everyday life.

For many people, alcohol, tobacco, and/or drugs have been or are a part of their life journey.  No judgement!  In this podcast I’d love to share some information about how these things impact the energy body and how to repair any damage that may have been done.  You’ll gain a more specific understanding of the impact of alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana.  You’ll also learn how to offset the impact whether this has been part of your life in the past or is part of your present.  This is also relevant for anyone wanting to support or restore their energy body who hasn’t engaged with these substances.

As a side note, for a healthy person, alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana in moderation aren’t overly impactful on the energy body.  It’s only when they become chronic that you see significant impact.  For a number of my clients (although not all), the guides have reflected that overall positive effects of marijuana outweigh some of the challenges it can create.  Whatever your relationship to substances, it’s good to know how to keep your energy body healthy.
