When life feels intense and your emotions are loud, it is really common to think, "I can't feel my guides. I can't hear them. Have they left me?" In this episode, I talk about why your connection to your spirit guides often feels far away during times of stress, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm, and why that does not mean your guides have abandoned you.
I share how big emotions can flood the subtle channel we normally use to feel our guides, so it becomes much harder to notice the gentle brush of their presence or the quiet nudge of intuition. Your spirit team can be very close, holding you with so much love, even when your nervous system is so activated that you cannot feel them at all. Understanding this difference between "I can't perceive them" and "they are not here" is important medicine in itself.
We also talk about the difference between true intuitive perception and the stories the mind makes up when we are scared, exhausted, or overwhelmed. When your inner world is loud, it is very easy to mix projection with guidance and to spin scary narratives that make everything feel worse. I offer a shamanic perspective on how to recognize when your system is simply too stirred up to get clear intuitive information, and how to work with that kindly instead of trying to force your way through.
From there, I move into practical, grounded ways to calm your body and emotions so you can come back to center and feel your guides again. I invite you to create a personal list of self-soothing strategies you can reach for when you are off-center: time in nature, supportive movement, simple breath practices, comforting sensory input, and tools that help you interrupt the spiral and bring the stress chemistry down. As your system settles, your inner wisdom and your connection with your guides can come back online in a way that feels steady and trustworthy.
