Are you exhausted, overwhelmed, and wondering why rest isn't helping? Do you look fine on the outside while feeling anxious, burned out, or emotionally exhausted on the inside?
In this powerful conversation, Lori sits down with nurse, Kingdom business coach, and deliverance minister Leniesha to discuss the hidden impact of trauma, PTSD, anxiety symptoms, chronic stress, burnout, and caregiver fatigue. Together, they explore why so many high-capacity women become experts at caring for everyone else while ignoring their own emotional and mental health.
You'll learn why survival mode can feel normal, how trauma affects the nervous system, and why burnout is often connected to identity, boundaries, and carrying responsibilities that were never yours to carry.
In this episode, you'll discover:
• Common signs of unrecognized trauma, PTSD, and chronic stress
If you're struggling with PTSD, anxiety symptoms, seasonal depression, isolation, loneliness, guilt, burnout, or emotional overwhelm, this conversation offers practical solutions, hope, and encouragement for your healing journey.

What if your anxiety symptoms, depression, chronic stress, guilt, or isolation aren't signs of weakness, but signs of a nervous system stuck in survival mode?
In this PTSD Awareness Month episode of Practical Solutions for PTSD, Lori Owens explores why PTSD often goes unrecognized and how trauma can show up as exhaustion, overwhelm, people-pleasing, perfectionism, irritability, emotional numbness, loneliness, and difficulty relaxing.
Learn how high-functioning PTSD can hide behind productivity and being "the strong one" while quietly impacting your mental health, relationships, communication, boundaries, focus, and overall sense of joy and purpose.
If you've ever felt constantly on edge, emotionally drained, withdrawn from relationships, or guilty for resting, this episode will help you understand what may be happening beneath the surface.
You'll also learn a simple practical exercise to help you recognize your nervous system patterns with curiosity instead of criticism.
What you've been calling weakness may actually be a nervous system that's been working overtime to keep you safe.

What happens when a wake-up call about your health changes the entire direction of your life?
In this special two-part conversation, I sit down with Laura Hargrove, host of the Health in Faith Podcast, to talk about her journey from unhealthy living and compromised health to metabolic healing, faith, and helping others reclaim their wellness.
In Part 1, Laura shares how poor lifestyle habits during university, while pursuing her law degree, eventually led to serious health concerns. After a doctor warned her about the direction her health was heading, she began making changes to her eating and exercise habits, sparking a deep interest in health and wellness.
Following university, Laura used her law degree to lead a research team within the NHS in Britain. But over time, she became increasingly troubled by the influence Big Pharma appeared to have over research and healthcare decisions. Eventually, she chose to step away from that career path, retrain in natural health, and pursue a different mission entirely.
Since then, Laura has coached and taught thousands of people around the world, written books, become certified as a metabolic health practitioner, and come to faith in Christ. Today, she helps people pursue healthier lives through practical metabolic health strategies grounded in biblical principles.
In Part 2, we dive into metabolic health and its impact on mental health, including anxiety, burnout, emotional exhaustion, mood, and chronic stress. Laura walks us through her practical 4-step TANDOM WALTZ approach to metabolic health and shares simple, sustainable steps listeners can begin applying right away to improve both physical and emotional well-being. 🌿
