Synopsis:

The Birth Challenge occurs in the future after a nuclear war destroys most of the earth, leaving few survivors behind, some of whom developed supernatural abilities. Three hundred years later, Sabina is about to face her rite of passage, the Birth Challenge, into adulthood to discover if she has any supernatural abilities when she learns her father, Brom, has been lying to her all her life. Have you ever been in a conversation and said “I didn’t say that?” Or possibly you have heard someone say that phrase to you. Communication is an art and learning to communicate effectively will help you have more peace. In this episode, I talk about why people use that saying and I teach you about using that statement as a “pause button” whether you are speaking it or hearing it.

Are you a taker, giver, matcher, or over-giver? Do you know the difference? Do you know what drives you to give? Maya Angelou said, "I have found that among its other benefits, giving liberates the soul of the giver?" But .... if you are giving to get, your reward may not be as liberating to the soul as you want it to be.

Do you view surrendering a goal or the desired outcome as giving up? Do you know how to detach from an outcome but still put your focus on it? Do you know the power of surrender as Krishna Das once said, "The ultimate act of power is surrender." These are some of the things we walk about in this episode.

Being overwhelmed can become a habit and once it becomes a habit, it takes effort to reprogram your brain. Transformation starts with the smallest change that you consistently do day in and day out. Look at what benefit you are receiving for being in overwhelm. Consider what you value more - being in overwhelm (the cost and benefit associated with it) or what you are seeking now (the cost of detaching from overwhelm and the benefit). Decide what you want.

Remember the Power of Small Consistent Steps!
