We must offer our bodies to God as dead to sin and as the temple of the Holy Spirit (Ro.12:1). We must be obedient to His Word. Luke 14:26-27 speaks of hating our loved ones. The word hate in this passage means to love less. Jesus demands that our loyalty to and love for Him be greater than every other attachment, even to our own families.
