It’s tempting to skim over this list of 27 names, thinking that it’s all insignificant. Don’t do it! Just because your service isn’t known doesn’t mean it isn’t significant to God. God uses all of His children for His glory.

With the torch of leadership passed to Joshua, the question was: would he be able to finish what had begun under Moses? What Joshua needed was faith to be strong, and the strength to have faith. What Joshua needed was total dependence upon the Lord! So do we. Christian, take your courage in Christ!

As Moses gives his last words to the nation of Israel, a wonderful truth is seen: God loves His people! Despite knowing how they had sinned in the past and how they would sin in the future, God loved them. God loves us, in spite of us, all because of Jesus.

God knew that Israel would sin, and He wanted them to know that He knew. Why? Because knowing our weaknesses causes us to cling closer to God and His grace!

Not only do we not judge one another as Christians, neither ought we stumble one another. Don’t trip up others; build up others!

How should Christians deal with disagreements on nonessential issues? Stop arguing, and start getting ready for Jesus!
