  • You need Jesus
The Gospel is preached because you need a Saviour. You need Jesus! God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, Jesus Christ that you might be saved.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Isaiah 28:14-18 “14 Therefore hear the word of Jehovah, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.15 For ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol have we made an agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us; for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves.16 Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I lay for foundation in Zion a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner-stone, a sure foundation: he that trusteth shall not make haste.
17 And I will appoint judgment for a line, and righteousness for a plummet; and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding-place.18 And your covenant with death shall be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, ye shall be trodden down by it.”
Luke 6:47-49 “47 Every one that comes to me, and hears my words and does them, I will shew you to whom he is like.48 He is like a man building a house, who dug and went deep, and laid a foundation on the rock; but a great rain coming, the stream broke upon that house, and could not shake it, for it had been founded on the rock.
49 And he that has heard and not done, is like a man who has built a house on the ground without [a] foundation, on which the stream broke, and immediately it fell, and the breach of that house was great.”
1 Corinthians 3:11 “11 For other foundation can no man lay besides that which [is] laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

  • Sowing the Gospel Seed
In this Gospel you will hear about the parable Jesus told about The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares. The Lord Jesus Christ is the greatest preacher of all time and in this passage he tells us about Sowing the Gospel Seed.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Matthew 13:24-30 “24 Another parable set he before them, saying, The kingdom of the heavens has become like a man sowing good seed in his field;25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed darnel amongst the wheat, and went away.
26 But when the blade shot up and produced fruit, then appeared the darnel also.27 And the bondmen of the householder came up and said to him, Sir, hast thou not sown good seed in thy field? whence then has it darnel?28 And he said to them, A man [that is] an enemy has done this. And the bondmen said to him, Wilt thou then that we should go and gather it [up]?
29 But he said, No; lest [in] gathering the darnel ye should root up the wheat with it.30 Suffer both to grow together unto the harvest, and in time of the harvest I will say to the harvestmen, Gather first the darnel, and bind it into bundles to burn it; but the wheat bring together into my granary.”
Matthew 13:36-43 “36 Then, having dismissed the crowds, he went into the house; and his disciples came to him, saying, Expound to us the parable of the darnel of the field.37 But he answering said, He that sows the good seed is the Son of man,
    38 and the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom, but the darnel are the sons of the evil [one];39 and the enemy who has sowed it is the devil; and the harvest is [the] completion of [the] age, and the harvestmen are angels.40 As then the darnel is gathered and is burned in the fire, thus it shall be in the completion of the age.41 The Son of man shall send his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all offences, and those that practise lawlessness;
42 and they shall cast them into the furnace of fire; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
43 Then the righteous shall shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He that has ears, let him hear.”
Romans 5:17 “17For if by the offence of the one death reigned by the one, much rather shall those who receive the abundance of grace, and of the free gift of righteousness, reign in life by the one Jesus Christ:)”

  • The Good Shepherd
In this Gospel you will of the Lord Jesus The Good Shepherd who came into the world to bring salvation to mankind. The scriptures tell us that the Lord Jesus laid down His life for the sheep. We have all gone astray just like sheep do but The Good Shepherd came to seek and to save that which was lost.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
John 10:11 “11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep:”
John 10:7-9 “7 Jesus therefore said again to them, Verily, verily, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.8 All whoever came before me are thieves and robbers; but the sheep did not hear them.9 I am the door: if any one enter in by me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and shall go out and shall find pasture.”
Luke 15:3-7 “3 And he spoke to them this parable, saying,4 What man of you having a hundred sheep, and having lost one of them, does not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
5 and having found it, he lays it upon his own shoulders, rejoicing;6 and being come to the house, calls together the friends and the neighbours, saying to them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my lost sheep.7 I say unto you, that thus there shall be joy in heaven for one repenting sinner, [more] than for ninety and nine righteous who have no need of repentance.”
Luke 24:25-33 “25 And *he* said to them, O senseless and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!26 Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into his glory?27 And having begun from Moses and from all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.28 And they drew near to the village where they were going, and *he* made as though he would go farther.
29 And they constrained him, saying, Stay with us, for it is toward evening and the day is declining. And he entered in to stay with them.30 And it came to pass as he was at table with them, having taken the bread, he blessed, and having broken it, gave it to them.31 And their eyes were opened, and they recognised him. And he disappeared from them.
32 And they said to one another, Was not our heart burning in us as he spoke to us on the way, [and] as he opened the scriptures to us?33 And rising up the same hour, they returned to Jerusalem. “
    1 Peter 5:1-3 “5 The elders which [are] among you I exhort, who [am their] fellow-elder and witness of the sufferings of the Christ, who also [am] partaker of the glory about to be revealed:2 shepherd the flock of God which [is] among you, exercising oversight, not by necessity, but willingly; not for base gain, but readily;
3 not as lording it over your possessions, but being models for the flock.4 And when the chief shepherd is manifested ye shall receive the unfading crown of glory.”

  • “Bring my soul out of prison”
The Gospel is preached to set sinners FREE from their sins. God is offering deliverance for sinners because of the victorious work Jesus completed at Calvary’s cross. The Lord Jesus came into this world to proclaim liberty to the captives and you can receive this wonderful salvation by coming to Jesus in faith. The precious blood of Jesus shed at Calvary can wash away every sin. God’s word says, “If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed”.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Psalm 142:4-7 “4 Look on the right hand and see; there is no man that knoweth me: refuge hath failed me; no man careth for my soul.5 I cried unto thee, Jehovah; I said, Thou art my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.
6 Attend unto my cry, for I am brought very low; deliver me from my persecutors, for they are stronger than I.7 Bring my soul out of prison, that I may celebrate thy name. The righteous shall surround me, because thou dealest bountifully with me.”

  • “Peace be to you”
The Savour, Jesus Christ came to His own after being risen from the dead and said “Peace be to you”. The Gospel is preached because God desires for you to have peace. The scriptures tell us Peace has been made by the blood of his cross.  All of us have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God but there is hope found in the person of the Lord Jesus. Over 2000 years ago, Jesus came into the world to save sinners and at Calvary’s cross Jesus laid down His life in the sinner’s place that we may receive forgiveness. Glorious message!
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
John 20:24-31 24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.25 The other disciples therefore said to him, We have seen the Lord. But he said to them, Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and put my finger into the mark of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.
26 And eight days after, his disciples were again within, and Thomas with them. Jesus comes, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst and said, Peace [be] to you.27 Then he says to Thomas, Bring thy finger here and see my hands; and bring thy hand and put it into my side; and be not unbelieving, but believing.28 Thomas answered and said to him, My Lord and my God.
29 Jesus says to him, Because thou hast seen me thou hast believed: blessed they who have not seen and have believed.30 Many other signs therefore also Jesus did before his disciples, which are not written in this book;31 but these are written that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing ye might have life in his name.”

  • Come, Be Clothed In The Righteousness Of Christ
The Gospel brings hope to sinful man. God has provided salvation for mankind through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Our sins have carried us far away from God’s holy presence but there is forgiveness for mankind and we see God’s love at Calvary’s cross.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Matthew 22:1-14 “22 And Jesus answering spoke to them again in parables, saying,2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew [them].7 And [when] the king [heard of it he] was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.12 And he says to him, [My] friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.”
Luke 15:20-32 “20 And he rose up and went to his own father. But while he was yet a long way off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran, and fell upon his neck, and covered him with kisses.21 And the son said to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee; I am no longer worthy to be called thy son.
22 But the father said to his bondmen, Bring out the best robe and clothe him in [it], and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet;23 and bring the fatted calf and kill it, and let us eat and make merry:24 for this my son was dead and has come to life, was lost and has been found. And they began to make merry.25 And his elder son was in the field; and as, coming [up], he drew nigh to the house, he heard music and dancing.
26 And having called one of the servants, he inquired what these things might be.27 And he said to him, Thy brother is come, and thy father has killed the fatted calf because he has received him safe and well.28 But he became angry and would not go in. And his father went out and besought him.29 But he answering said to his father, Behold, so many years I serve thee, and never have I transgressed a commandment of thine; and to me hast thou never given a kid that I might make merry with my friends:
30 but when this thy son, who has devoured thy substance with harlots, is come, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.31 But he said to him, Child, *thou* art ever with me, and all that is mine is thine.32 But it was right to make merry and rejoice, because this thy brother was dead and has come to life again, and was lost and has been found.”
John 14:6 “6 Jesus says to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father unless by me.”

  • God Is Looking For You
God desires for all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. The Gospel is proclaimed that people may come to Him and find in Him a Savour God. In the scriptures we read of how much God loves us by sending a Saviour His Son, Jesus Christ to save sinners.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Mark 10:17-27 “17 And as he went forth into the way, a person ran up to [him], and kneeling to him asked him, Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?18 But Jesus said to him, Why callest thou me good? no one is good but one, [that is] God.19 Thou knowest the commandments: Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honour thy father and mother.
20 And he answering said to him, Teacher, all these things have I kept from my youth.21 And Jesus looking upon him loved him, and said to him, One thing lackest thou: go, sell whatever thou hast and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me, [taking up the cross].22 But he, sad at the word, went away grieved, for he had large possessions.
23 And Jesus looking around says to his disciples, How difficultly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!24 And the disciples were amazed at his words. And Jesus again answering says to them, Children, how difficult it is that those who trust in riches should enter into the kingdom of God!25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.26 And they were exceedingly astonished, saying to one another, And who can be saved?27 But Jesus looking on them says, With men it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.
Luke 22:31-62 “31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded to have you, to sift [you] as wheat;32 but *I* have besought for thee that thy faith fail not; and *thou*, when once thou hast been restored, confirm thy brethren.33 And he said to him, Lord, with thee I am ready to go both to prison and to death.34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, [the] cock shall not crow to-day before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.35 And he said to them, When I sent you without purse and scrip and sandals, did ye lack anything? And they said, Nothing.
36 He said therefore to them, But now he that has a purse let him take [it], in like manner also a scrip, and he that has none let him sell his garment and buy a sword;37 for I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned with [the] lawless: for also the things concerning me have an end.38 And they said, Lord, behold here are two swords. And he said to them, It is enough.39 And going forth he went according to his custom to the mount of Olives, and the disciples also followed him.
40 And when he was at the place he said to them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and having knelt down he prayed,42 saying, Father, if thou wilt remove this cup from me:—but then, not my will, but thine be done.43 And an angel appeared to him from heaven strengthening him.44 And being in conflict he prayed more intently. And his sweat became as great drops of blood, falling down upon the earth.
45 And rising up from his prayer, coming to the disciples, he found them sleeping from grief.46 And he said to them, Why sleep ye? rise up and pray that ye enter not into temptation.47 As he was yet speaking, behold, a crowd, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went on before them, and drew near to Jesus to kiss him.48 And Jesus said to him, Judas, deliverest thou up the Son of man with a kiss?
49 And they who were around him, seeing what was going to follow, said [to him], Lord, shall we smite with [the] sword?50 And a certain one from among them smote the bondman of the high priest and took off his right ear.51 And Jesus answering said, Suffer thus far; and having touched

  • Jesus has drawn near
God wants to be near you. Since the fall of mankind distance has come as a result of our sin. The wonderful news in the Gospel is that Jesus has drawn near to the sinner. God so loved you that He sent His only beloved Son, Jesus Christ as the Saviour for sinners. At Calvary’s cross the Lord Jesus the just one suffered and died for the sinner that we might receive salvation.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Genesis 3:8-9 “8 And they heard the voice of Jehovah Elohim, walking in the garden in the cool of the day. And Man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of Jehovah Elohim, in the midst of the trees of the garden.9 And Jehovah Elohim called to Man, and said to him, Where art thou?”
Isaiah 58:9 “Then shalt thou call, and Jehovah will answer; thou shalt cry, and he will say, Here I am.”
John 3:16 “16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only-begotten Son, that whosoever believes on him may not perish, but have life eternal.”
Luke 24:15 “15 And it came to pass as they conversed and reasoned, that Jesus himself drawing nigh, went with them;”
Revelation 21:4 “4 And he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall not exist any more, nor grief, nor cry, nor distress shall exist any more, for the former things have passed away.”

  • God’s Good News
The Gospel message is God’s good news to mankind. The Bible tells us that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself. Yes, the Lord Jesus was sent into this world by God to bring salvation for you. At the cross we see God’s love shining out for us as His Son, Jesus Christ as a Savour for sinners.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Mark 1:9-11 “9 And it came to pass in those days [that] Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptised by John at the Jordan.10 And straightway going up from the water, he saw the heavens parting asunder, and the Spirit, as a dove, descending upon him.11 And there came a voice out of the heavens: *Thou* art my beloved Son, in thee I have found my delight.”
Mark 14:10-9 14 Now the passover and the [feast of] unleavened bread was after two days. And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they might seize him by subtlety and kill him.2 For they said, Not in the feast, lest perhaps there be a tumult of the people.3 And when he was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, as he lay at table, there came a woman having an alabaster flask of ointment of pure nard, very costly; and having broken the alabaster flask, she poured it out upon his head.4 And there were some indignant in themselves, and saying, Why has this waste been made of the ointment?
5 for this ointment could have been sold for more than three hundred denarii and given to the poor. And they spoke very angrily at her.6 But Jesus said, Let her alone; why do ye trouble her? she has wrought a good work as to me;7 for ye have the poor always with you, and whenever ye would ye can do them good; but me ye have not always.
8 What *she* could she has done. She has beforehand anointed my body for the burial.9 And verily I say unto you, Wheresoever these glad tidings may be preached in the whole world, what this [woman] has done shall be also spoken of for a memorial of her.”
Revelation 1:5-6 “5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and has washed us from our sins in his blood,6 and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father: to him [be] the glory and the might to the ages of ages. Amen”
