  • Who does Jesus Save?
    In this Gospel preaching you will hear of the call of Jesus, the company of Jesus and the confrontation of Jesus as we look at Matthew chapter 5.

    Matthew 9:9-13 “9 And Jesus, passing on thence, saw a man sitting at the tax-office, called Matthew, and says to him, Follow me. And he rose up and followed him.
    10 And it came to pass, as he lay at table in the house, that behold, many tax-gatherers and sinners came and lay at table with Jesus and his disciples.11 And the Pharisees seeing [it], said to his disciples, Why does your teacher eat with tax-gatherers and sinners?
    12 But [Jesus] hearing it, said, They that are strong have not need of a physician, but those that are ill.13 But go and learn what [that] is—I will have mercy and not sacrifice; for I have not come to call righteous [men] but sinners.”

  • God was in Christ
    Our sins have carried us far away form God but in the scriptures we read that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself. The love of God shines out that whosoever will may come to the blessing of knowing Jesus as their Saviour.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
    2 Corinthians 8:9 “9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that for your sakes he, being rich, became poor, in order that *ye* by *his* poverty might be enriched.”
    2 Corinthians 5:17-21 “17 So if any one [be] in Christ, [there is] a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold all things have become new:18 and all things [are] of the God who has reconciled us to himself by [Jesus] Christ, and given to us the ministry of that reconciliation:
    19 how that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their offences; and putting in us the word of that reconciliation.20 We are ambassadors therefore for Christ, God as [it were] beseeching by us, we entreat for Christ, Be reconciled to God.21 Him who knew not sin he has made sin for us, that *we* might become God’s righteousness in him.”
    2 Corinthians 4:5-7 “6 Because [it is] the God who spoke that out of darkness light should shine who has shone in our hearts for the shining forth of the knowledge of the glory of God in [the] face of [Jesus] Christ.
    7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassingness of the power may be of God, and not from us:”

  • The Eventful Walk to Emmaus
    Jesus had an encounter with two disciples as they were walking to Emmaus. They were downcast full of sorrow they just lost the Saviour, Jesus Christ. Listen to this preaching to see these two disciples’ sorrow turn to joy when they realise Jesus who died lives again.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
    Luke 24:13-21 “13 And behold, two of them were going on the same day to a village distant sixty stadia from Jerusalem, called Emmaus;14 and they conversed with one another about all these things which had taken place.
    15 And it came to pass as they conversed and reasoned, that Jesus himself drawing nigh, went with them;16 but their eyes were holden so as not to know him.17 And he said to them, What discourses are these which pass between you as ye walk, and are downcast?
    18 And one [of them], named Cleopas, answering said to him, Thou sojournest alone in Jerusalem, and dost not know what has taken place in it in these days?19 And he said to them, What things? And they said to him, The things concerning Jesus the Nazaraean, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people;20 and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him up to [the] judgment of death and crucified him.21 But *we* had hoped that *he* was [the one] who is about to redeem Israel.”

  • “I am the door”
    The Gospel is preached that you may come to Jesus and be saved. In John’s Gospel Jesus says “ I am the door: if any one enter in by me, he shall be saved”. The way to be saved, receive Salvation of your sins and peace with God is through the Savour the Lord Jesus Christ.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
    John 10:9 “9 I am the door: if any one enter in by me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and shall go out and shall find pasture.”
    John 14:5-6 “5 Thomas says to him, Lord, we know not where thou goest, and how can we know the way?6 Jesus says to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father unless by me.”
    1 Corinthians 8:4-6 “there [is] no other God save one.5 For and if indeed there are [those] called gods, whether in heaven or on earth, (as there are gods many, and lords many,)
    6 yet to us [there is] one God, the Father, of whom all things, and *we* for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom [are] all things, and *we* by him.”

  • God’s Great Love
    God’s love for mankind has been revealed in the Lord Jesus Christ. Over 2000 years ago, Jesus was born into this world to save sinners and He journeyed to Calvary’s where He gave himself for us, that he might redeem us to God.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
    1 Corinthians 13:4-8 “4 Love has long patience, is kind; love is not emulous [of others]; love is not insolent and rash, is not puffed up,5 does not behave in an unseemly manner, does not seek what is its own, is not quickly provoked, does not impute evil,
    6 does not rejoice at iniquity but rejoices with the truth,7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.8 Love never fails;”
    Titus 2:11-14 “11 For the grace of God which carries with it salvation for all men has appeared,12 teaching us that, having denied impiety and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, and justly, and piously in the present course of things,
    13 awaiting the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ;
    14 who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all lawlessness, and purify to himself a peculiar people, zealous for good works.”

  • Noah’s Ark – A type of Salvation
    In this Gospel preaching you will hear about the story of Noah’s Ark and how it speaks to us of the Lord Jesus. Noah and his family were safe in the ark and they were saved from the  coming judgment because they obeyed God. This story speak to us of salvation and the refuge there is from the coming judgment by coming to the Saviour, Jesus Christ.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
    Genesis 6:7-17 “7 And Jehovah said, I will destroy Man, whom I have created, from the earth—from man to cattle, to creeping things, and to fowl of the heavens; for I repent that I have made them.
    8 But Noah found favour in the eyes of Jehovah.9 This is the history of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect amongst his generations: Noah walked with God.10 And Noah begot three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.11 And the earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was full of violence.
    12 And God looked upon the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted its way on the earth.13 And God said to Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me, for the earth is full of violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth.14 Make thyself an ark of gopher wood: [with] cells shalt thou make the ark; and pitch it inside and outside with pitch.
    15 And thus shalt thou make it: let the length of the ark be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
    16 A light shalt thou make to the ark; and to a cubit high shalt thou finish it above. And the door of the ark shalt thou set in its side: [with] a lower, second, and third [story] shalt thou make it.17 For I, behold, I bring a flood of waters on the earth, to destroy all flesh under the heavens in which is the breath of life: everything that is on the earth shall expire.”
    Genesis 7:11- “11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that same day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.12 And the pour of rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights.13 On the same day went Noah, and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;14 they, and every beast after its kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and all fowl after its kind—every bird of every wing.
    15 And they went to Noah, into the ark, two and two of all flesh, in which was the breath of life.16 And they that came, came male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him. And Jehovah shut him in.17 And the flood was forty days on the earth. And the waters increased, and bore up the ark; and it was lifted up above the earth.”
    Genesis 8:8-12 “8 And he sent out the dove from him, to see if the waters had become low on the ground.9 But the dove found no resting-place for the sole of her foot, and returned to him into the ark; for the waters were on the whole earth; and he put forth his hand, and took her, and brought her to him into the ark.
    10 And he waited yet other seven days, and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark.11 And the dove came to him at eventide; and behold, in her beak was an olive-leaf plucked off; and Noah knew that the waters had become low on the earth.12 And he waited yet other seven days, and sent forth the dove; but she returned no more to him.”
    Genesis 9:8-17 “8 And God spoke to Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,9 And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;10 and with every living soul which is with you, fowl as well as cattle, and all the animals of the earth with you, of all that has gone out of the ark—every animal of the earth.11 And I establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood, and henceforth there shall be no flood to destroy the earth.
    12 And God said, This is the sign of the covenant that I set between m

  • The Compassions of God
    In this Gospel preaching you will hear about the compassions of God. Many times throughout the scriptures we can point to examples when God shows compassion to mankind. God has demonstrated His love to us by sending the Lord Jesus into the world to save sinners. Throughout the life Jesus there are accounts of His power and compassion for mankind but the greatest we see is at Calvary’s cross.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation (The reading of these scriptures are not recorded in this recording. However we have listed the scriptures below.)
    Matthew 9:35-36 “35 And Jesus went round all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the glad tidings of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every bodily weakness.
    36 But when he saw the crowds he was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed, and cast away as sheep not having a shepherd.”
    Mark 1:32-45 “32 But evening being come, when the sun had gone down, they brought to him all that were suffering, and those possessed by demons;33 and the whole city was gathered together at the door.34 And he healed many suffering from various diseases; and he cast out many demons, and did not suffer the demons to speak because they knew him. 35 And rising in the morning long before day, he went out and went away into a desert place, and there prayed.
    36 And Simon and those with him went after him:37 and having found him, they say to him, All seek thee.
    38 And he says to them, Let us go elsewhere into the neighbouring country towns, that I may preach there also, for for this purpose am I come forth.39 And he was preaching in their synagogues in the whole of Galilee, and casting out demons.40 And there comes to him a leper, beseeching him, and falling on his knees to him, and saying to him, If thou wilt thou canst cleanse me.
    41 But Jesus, moved with compassion, having stretched out his hand, touched him, and says to him, I will, be thou cleansed.42 And as he spoke straightway the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.43 And having sharply charged him, he straightway sent him away,
    44 and says to him, See thou say nothing to any one, but go, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing what Moses ordained, for a testimony to them.45 But he, having gone forth, began to proclaim [it] much, and to spread the matter abroad, so that he could no longer enter openly into the city, but was without in desert places, and they came to him from every side.”
    Matthew 11:28-30 “28 Come to me, all ye who labour and are burdened, and *I* will give you rest.29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest to your souls;30 for my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

  • Be Reconciled To God
    Although your sins may be many God is not holding them against you. God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself there is opportunity in the Gospel to be reconciled to God because of the work of the Lord Jesus.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
    2 Corinthians 5:20-21 “20 We are ambassadors therefore for Christ, God as [it were] beseeching by us, we entreat for Christ, Be reconciled to God.21 Him who knew not sin he has made sin for us, that *we* might become God’s righteousness in him.”
    2 Corinthians 5:17-19 “17 So if any one [be] in Christ, [there is] a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold all things have become new:18 and all things [are] of the God who has reconciled us to himself by [Jesus] Christ, and given to us the ministry of that reconciliation:19 how that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their offences; and putting in us the word of that reconciliation.”

  • “Remember thy Creator in the days of thy youth”
    The writer of the book of Ecclesiastes was a man called Solomon. There is much wisdom contained in these pages of scripture including the call to “remember thy Creator in the days of thy youth”. We live in a world where there is much evil and forces against mankind what or who can sustains us in these difficult times? God’s word the holy scriptures point us to our faithful creator who has drawn near to us in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Scriptures
    Ecclesiastes 12:1-7 “And remember thy Creator in the days of thy youth, before the evil days come, and the years draw nigh, of which thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;
    2 before the sun, and the light, and the moon, and the stars, be darkened, and the clouds return after the rain;
    3 in the day when the keepers of the house tremble, and the strong men bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows are darkened,
    4 and the doors are shut toward the street; when the sound of the grinding is subdued, and they rise up at the voice of the bird, and all the daughters of song are brought low;
    5 they are also afraid of what is high, and terrors are in the way, and the almond is despised, and the grasshopper is a burden, and the caper-berry is without effect; (for man goeth to his age-long home, and the mourners go about the streets;)
    6 —before the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be shattered at the fountain, or the wheel be broken at the cistern;
    7 and the dust return to the earth as it was, and the spirit return unto God who gave it.”
