  • A door of hope

The Valley of Achor was a place of trouble, judgment, and failure. Yet God declared that this very valley would become “a door of hope”. What once represented defeat would become a place of restoration and new beginnings.Through Jesus Christ, God gives us a living hope that overcomes every valley of trouble. No matter our past or present circumstances, God can turn our deepest struggles into an open door for His grace, purpose, and promise.

    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation

Joshua 7:24-26 “24 Then Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the mantle, and the bar of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had; and they brought them up into the valley of Achor.

25 And Joshua said, How hast thou troubled us! Jehovah will trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones; and they burned them with fire, and stoned them with stones.26 And they raised over him a great heap of stones, [which is there] to this day. And Jehovah turned from the fierceness of his anger. Therefore the name of that place was called, The Valley of Achor, to this day.”

Hosea 2:14-15 “14 Therefore behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak to her heart.15 And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.”

1 Peter 1:3-5 “3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to his great mercy, has begotten us again to a living hope through [the] resurrection of Jesus Christ from among [the] dead,4 to an incorruptible and undefiled and unfading inheritance, reserved in [the] heavens for you,5 who are kept guarded by [the] power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in [the] last time.”

  • What must we do to be Saved?

What must we do to be saved? A question that has echoed through generations and still weighs on the hearts of many today. This message takes us straight to the answer for salvation from sin through Jesus. It reveals God’s call to a transformed life—showing that true salvation begins with a humble heart turned back to Him, seeking cleansing, renewal, and a restored relationship with God through Christ.

    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation

    Psalms 51:1-12

To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David; when Nathan the prophet came to him, after he had gone in to Bath-sheba.

“Be gracious unto me, O God, according to thy loving-kindness; according to the abundance of thy tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.2 Wash me fully from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

3 For I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is continually before me.4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done what is evil in thy sight; that thou mayest be justified when thou speakest, be clear when thou judgest.5 Behold, in iniquity was I brought forth, and in sin did my mother conceive me.

6 Behold, thou wilt have truth in the inward parts; and in the hidden [part] thou wilt make me to know wisdom.7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

8 Make me to hear gladness and joy; [that] the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.11 Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not the spirit of thy holiness from me.12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and let a willing spirit sustain me.”

Revelation 1:5-6 “5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and has washed us from our sins in his blood,

6 and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father: to him [be] the glory and the might to the ages of ages. Amen.”

  • Are you worried about your sins?

Many carry the burden of sin, fear, and unrest in their hearts, wondering if they can ever find forgiveness and true peace. This Gospel preaching brings the comforting message that there is hope for every sinner through the Lord Jesus Christ — the One who came to save, to restore, and to give peace with God.

1 Timothy 1:15 “15 Faithful [is] the word, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom *I* am [the] first.”

Luke 18:9-14 “And he spoke also to some, who trusted in themselves that they were righteous and made nothing of all the rest [of men], this parable:10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a tax-gatherer.

11 The Pharisee, standing, prayed thus to himself: God, I thank thee that I am not as the rest of men, rapacious, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax-gatherer.

12 I fast twice in the week, I tithe everything I gain.13 And the tax-gatherer, standing afar off, would not lift up even his eyes to heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, O God, have compassion on me, the sinner.14 I say unto you, This [man] went down to his house justified rather than that [other]. For every one who exalts himself shall be humbled, and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.”

    1 Peter 2:22-25 “22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;23 who, [when] reviled, reviled not again; [when] suffering, threatened not; but gave [himself] over into the hands of him who judges righteously;

24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.”

Romans 15:13 “3 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that ye should abound in hope ower of [the] Holy Spirit.”

  • “All we like sheep”

ALL — three simple letters that include every one of us. “All we like sheep have gone astray…” Isaiah 53:6 is more than a verse — it is the story of humanity. We wander, we fall, we lose our way. Yet at the cross, Jesus Christ took upon Himself “the iniquity of us all.” This powerful preaching reveals the love, sacrifice, and victory of Christ at Calvary — where the Shepherd gave His life for the sheep. Come and discover how the cross still calls the lost home, brings hope to the broken, and offers salvation to ALL.

    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation

Isaiah 53:6 “6 All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way; and Jehovah hath laid upon him the iniquity of us all.”

Romans 3:23 “by faith of Jesus Christ towards all, and upon all those who believe”

John 5:28-29 “28 Wonder not at this, for an hour is coming in which all who are in the tombs shall hear his voice,29 and shall go forth; those that have practised good, to resurrection of life, and those that have done evil, to resurrection of judgment.”

  • Four Questions

This message confronts the heart with four life-changing questions about Jesus Christ. In a world full of delay and uncertainty, God is calling every soul to recognise who Jesus truly is, realise their desperate need for Him, and fully surrender before it is too late.

    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation

Luke 19:1-10 “And he entered and passed through Jericho.2 And behold, [there was] a man by name called Zacchaeus, and he was chief tax-gatherer, and he was rich.3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was: and he could not for the crowd, because he was little in stature.4 And running on before, he got up into a sycamore that he might see him, for he was going to pass that [way].

5 And when he came up to the place, Jesus looked up and saw him, and said to him, Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for to-day I must remain in thy house.

6 And he made haste and came down, and received him with joy.7 And all murmured when they saw [it], saying, He has turned in to lodge with a sinful man.

    8 But Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor, and if I have taken anything from any man by false accusation, I return [him] fourfold.9 And Jesus said to him, To-day salvation is come to this house, inasmuch as he also is a son of Abraham;

10 for the Son of man has come to seek and to save that which is lost.”

Acts 16:23-34 “23 And having laid many stripes upon them they cast [them] into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely;24 who, having received such a charge, cast them into the inner prison, and secured their feet to the stocks.25 And at midnight Paul and Silas, in praying, were praising God with singing, and the prisoners listened to them.

26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison shook, and all the doors were immediately opened, and the bonds of all loosed.27 And the jailor being awakened out of his sleep, and seeing the doors of the prison opened, having drawn a sword was going to kill himself, thinking the prisoners had fled.28 But Paul called out with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm, for we are all here.

29 And having asked for lights, he rushed in, and, trembling, fell down before Paul and Silas.30 And leading them out said, Sirs, what must I do that I may be saved?31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus and thou shalt be saved, thou and thy house.32 And they spoke to him the word of the Lord, with all that were in his house.

33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed [them] from their stripes; and was baptised, he and all his straightway.34 And having brought them into his house he laid the table [for them], and rejoiced with all his house, having believed in God.”

Mark 10:46-52 “46 And they come to Jericho, and as he was going out from Jericho, and his disciples and a large crowd, the son of Timaeus, Bartimaeus, the blind [man], sat by the wayside begging.47 And having heard that it was Jesus the Nazaraean, he began to cry out and to say, O Son of David, Jesus, have mercy on me.

48 And many rebuked him, that he might be silent; but he cried so much the more, Son of David, have mercy on me.

49 And Jesus, standing still, desired him to be called. And they call the blind [man], saying to him, Be of good courage, rise up, he calls thee.50 And, throwing away his garment, he started up and came to Jesus.51 And Jesus answering says to him, What wilt thou that I shall do to thee? And the blind [man] said to him, Rabboni, that I may see.52 And Jesus said to him, Go, thy faith has healed thee. And he saw immediately, and followed him in the way.”

Luke 23:33-34 “33 And when they came to the place which is called Skull, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, the other on the left.34 And Jesus said, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. “

Luke 23:39 “39 Now one of the malefactors who had been hanged spoke insultingly to him, saying, Art not thou the Christ? save thyself and us.40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost *thou* too not fear God, thou that art under the same judgment?41 and *we* indeed justly, for we receive the just recompense of what we have done; but this [man] has done nothing amiss.42 And he said to Jesus, Remember me, [Lord,] when thou comest in thy kingdom.

43 And Jesus said to him, Verily I say to thee, To-day shalt thou be with me in paradise.”

  • The Believer’s Treasury
In this address, we consider the believer’s treasury— the life of Christ within, shining through ordinary lives. It points to God’s light in our hearts, the joy of following Jesus, the growth that comes from seeking Him, and the beauty of wholehearted worship. A simple reminder that true riches are found in a life filled with God’s presence and glory.

    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation

2 Corinthians 4:6-7“6 Because [it is] the God who spoke that out of darkness light should shine who has shone in our hearts for the shining forth of the knowledge of the glory of God in [the] face of [Jesus] Christ.

7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassingness of the power may be of God, and not from us:”

John 1:35-42 “35 Again, on the morrow, there stood John and two of his disciples.36 And, looking at Jesus as he walked, he says, Behold the Lamb of God.37 And the two disciples heard him speaking, and followed Jesus.

38 But Jesus having turned, and seeing them following, says to them, What seek ye? And *they* said to him, Rabbi (which, being interpreted, signifies Teacher), where abidest thou?

39 He says to them, Come and see. They went therefore, and saw where he abode; and they abode with him that day. It was about the tenth hour.40 Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, was one of the two who heard [this] from John and followed him.41 He first finds his own brother Simon, and says to him, We have found the Messias (which being interpreted is Christ).42 And he led him to Jesus. “

1 Chronicles 4:9-10 “9 And Jabez was more honoured than his brethren; and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bore him with pain.10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, Oh that thou wouldest richly bless me, and enlarge my border, and that thy hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God brought about what he had requested.”

John 12:1-3 “12 Jesus therefore, six days before the passover, came to Bethany, where was the dead [man] Lazarus, whom Jesus raised from among [the] dead.

2 There therefore they made him a supper, and Martha served, but Lazarus was one of those at table with him.3 Mary therefore, having taken a pound of ointment of pure nard of great price, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair, and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.”

  • Are you right with God?

This message considers three revealing scenes: a man awakened to his sinfulness in the presence of Christ, a son brought to repentance and welcomed home by a gracious father, and another who remained outwardly near yet inwardly unchanged. Together they press a vital question—are we truly right with God? Not by outward form or effort, but through genuine repentance and faith. The good news is that full cleansing is found through Jesus Christ, who alone can bring us into a right relationship with God.

    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation

Luke 5:1-8 “5 And it came to pass, as the crowd pressed on him to hear the word of God, that he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret:2 and he saw two ships standing by the lake, but the fishermen, having come down from them, were washing their nets.

3 And getting into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, he asked him to draw out a little from the land; and he sat down and taught the crowds out of the ship.4 But when he ceased speaking, he said to Simon, Draw out into the deep [water] and let down your nets for a haul.

5 And Simon answering said to him, Master, having laboured through the whole night we have taken nothing, but at thy word I will let down the net.6 And having done this, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes. And their net broke.7 And they beckoned to their partners who were in the other ship to come and help them, and they came, and filled both the ships, so that they were sinking.8 But Simon Peter, seeing it, fell at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, Lord.”

    Luke 15:17-22 “17 And coming to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have abundance of bread, and *I* perish here by famine.18 I will rise up and go to my father, and I will say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee;

19 I am no longer worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.20 And he rose up and went to his own father. But while he was yet a long way off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran, and fell upon his neck, and covered him with kisses.21 And the son said to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee; I am no longer worthy to be called thy son.22 But the father said to his bondmen, Bring out the best robe and clothe him in [it]”

Luke 15:28-31 “28 But he became angry and would not go in. And his father went out and besought him.29 But he answering said to his father, Behold, so many years I serve thee, and never have I transgressed a commandment of thine; and to me hast thou never given a kid that I might make merry with my friends:30 but when this thy son, who has devoured thy substance with harlots, is come, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.31 But he said to him, Child, *thou* art ever with me, and all that is mine is thine.!

1 John 1:7 “the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin.”

  • Rivers of Living Water

We all know what it’s like to be thirsty. In a world constantly offering distractions—money, success, fleeting pleasures—our hearts still ache for true satisfaction. Yet, there is only one source that quenches the soul—Jesus Christ. In His sacrifice on the cross, we find forgiveness, peace, and the living water that never runs dry.

    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation

John 7:37-39 “37 In the last, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried saying, If any one thirst, let him come to me and drink.38 He that believes on me, as the scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.39 But this he said concerning the Spirit, which they that believed on him were about to receive; for [the] Spirit was not yet, because Jesus had not yet been glorified.”

Mark 15:33-34 “33 And when [the] sixth hour was come, there came darkness over the whole land until [the] ninth hour;34 and at the ninth hour, Jesus cried with a loud voice, [saying], Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?”

Luke 23:44-47 “44 And it was about [the] sixth hour, and there came darkness over the whole land until [the] ninth hour.45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple rent in the midst.46 And Jesus, having cried with a loud voice, said, Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit. And having said this, he expired.47 Now the centurion, seeing what took place, glorified God, saying, In very deed this man was just.”

  • Our Present Portion in Christ

Our Present Portion in Christ is a reflection on the rich spiritual blessings and inheritance believers already possess through their relationship with Jesus. It highlights the truth that, in Christ, we are not only waiting to receive God’s favour in the future—we already share in His grace, peace, and spiritual riches today. This message encourages believers to live with confidence, gratitude, and assurance, knowing that their provision and hope are secure in Him right now.

    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation

Deuteronomy 12:18-19 “and thou shalt rejoice before Jehovah thy God in all the business of thy hand.19 Take heed to thyself that thou forsake not the Levite all the days thou shalt be in thy land.”

Psalms 84:10 “10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God, than dwell in the tents of wickedness.”

Exodus 32:26-28 “26 And Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, He that is for Jehovah, [let him come] to me. And all the sons of Levi gathered to him.27 And he said to them, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel: Put every man his sword upon his hip; go and return from gate to gate through the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his friend, and every man his neighbour.

28 And the sons of Levi did according to the word of Moses; and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men. 29 And Moses said, Consecrate yourselves to-day to Jehovah, yea, every man with his son, and with his brother, and bring on yourselves a blessing to-day.”

1 Timothy 6:11-12 “11 But *thou*, O man of God, flee these things, and pursue righteousness, piety, faith, love, endurance, meekness of spirit.12 Strive earnestly [in] the good conflict of faith. Lay hold of eternal life,”

Numbers 3:40-51 “40 And Jehovah said to Moses, Number all the first-born males of the children of Israel from a month old and upward, and take the number of their names.

41 And thou shalt take the Levites for me (I am Jehovah) instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel; and the cattle of the Levites, instead of all the firstlings among the cattle of the children of Israel.

42 And Moses numbered, as Jehovah had commanded him, all the firstborn among the children of Israel.43 And all the firstborn males, by the number of the names, from a month old and upward, according to their numbering, were twenty-two thousand two hundred and seventy-three.44 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

45 Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites shall be mine: I am Jehovah.46 And for those that are to be ransomed, the two hundred and seventy-three of the firstborn of the children of Israel, which are in excess over the Levites,

47 thou shalt take five shekels apiece by the poll, according to the shekel of the sanctuary shalt thou take them,—twenty gerahs the shekel;48 and thou shalt give the money unto Aaron and unto his sons for those in excess among them who are to be ransomed.49 And Moses took the ransom-money from them that were over and above those who were ransomed by the Levites;50 of the firstborn of the children of Israel he took the money, a thousand three hundred and sixty-five [shekels], according to the shekel of the sanctuary.51 And Moses gave the money of them that were ransomed to Aaron and to his sons, according to the commandment of Jehovah,—as Jehovah had commanded Moses.”

Luke 10:38-42 “38 And it came to pass as they went that *he* entered into a certain village; and a certain woman, Martha by name, received him into her house.39 And she had a sister called Mary, who also, having sat down at the feet of Jesus was listening to his word.40 Now Martha was distracted with much serving, and coming up she said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Speak to her therefore that she may help me.

41 But Jesus answering said to her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things;42 but there is need of one, and Mary has chosen the good part, the which shall not be taken from her.”

Deuteronomy 18:1-2 “18 The priests, the Levites, [and] the whole tribe of Levi, shall have no portion nor inheritance with Israel: Jehovah’s offerings by fire, and his inheritance shall they eat,2 but they shall have no inheritance among their brethren: Jehovah, he is their inheritance, as he hath said unto them.”

Ephesians 5:25-26 “25 Husbands, love your own wives, even as the Christ also loved the assembly, and has delivered himself up for it,26 in order that he might sanctify it, purifying [it] by the washing of water by [the] word, 27 that *he* might present the assembly to himself glorious, having no spot, or wrinkle, or any of such things; but that it might be holy and blameless.”

Numbers 3:5-10 “5 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,6 Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister unto him;7 and they shall keep his charge, and the charge of the whole assembly, before the tent of meeting, to do the service of the tabernacle.

8 And they shall keep all the utensils of the tent of meeting, and the charge of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle.9 And thou shalt give the Levites to Aaron and to his sons: they are wholly given to him out of the children of Israel.10 And Aaron and his sons shalt thou appoint that they may attend to their priest’s office; and the stranger that cometh near shall be put to death.”

    John 17:6-10 “6 I have manifested thy name to the men whom thou gavest me out of the world. They were thine, and thou gavest them me, and they have kept thy word.7 Now they have known that all things that thou hast given me are of thee;

8 for the words which thou hast given me I have given them, and they have received [them], and have known truly that I came out from thee, and have believed that thou sentest me.9 I demand concerning them; I do not demand concerning the world, but concerning those whom thou hast given me, for they are thine,

10 (and all that is mine is thine, and [all] that is thine mine,) and I am glorified in them.”

Numbers 4:1-3 “4 And Jehovah spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,2 Take the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, after their families, according to their fathers’ houses,

3 from thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, all that enter into the service, to do the work in the tent of meeting.”

Ephesians 4:7-8 “7 But to each one of us has been given grace according to the measure of the gift of the Christ.8 Wherefore he says, Having ascended up on high, he has led captivity captive, and has given gifts to men.”

  • Are you fully persuaded?

King Agrippa was almost persuaded, but almost is not enough. Paul boldly declared the truth of Christ before rulers, while the blind man simply testified, “Once I was blind, now I see.” This message is a call to every soul to move beyond doubt, hear the truth of the gospel, and be fully persuaded that Jesus Christ alone saves, changes, and keeps those who believe in Him.

    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation

Acts 25:23 “23 On the morrow therefore, Agrippa being come, and Bernice, with great pomp, and having entered into the hall of audience, with the chiliarchs and the men of distinction of the city, and Festus having given command, Paul was brought.”

Acts 26:25-28 “25 But Paul said, I am not mad, most excellent Festus, but utter words of truth and soberness;26 for the king is informed about these things, to whom also I speak with all freedom. For I am persuaded that of these things nothing is hidden from him; for this was not done in a corner.

27 King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.28 And Agrippa [said] to Paul, In a little thou persuadest me to become a Christian.”

2 Timothy 1:12-14 “12 For which cause also I suffer these things; but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep for that day the deposit I have entrusted to him.13 Have an outline of sound words, which [words] thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which [are] in Christ Jesus.

14 Keep, by the Holy Spirit which dwells in us, the good deposit entrusted.”

2 Timothy 3:12-14 “12 And all indeed who desire to live piously in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.13 But wicked men and juggling impostors shall advance in evil, leading and being led astray.14 But *thou*, abide in those things which thou hast learned, and [of which] thou hast been fully persuaded, knowing of whom thou hast learned [them];”

John 9:24-25 “24 They called therefore a second time the man who had been blind, and said to him, Give glory to God: we know that this man is sinful.25 He answered therefore, If he is sinful I know not. One thing I know, that, being blind [before], now I see.”
