At the cross, God showed us the depth of His love and opened the way for us to be reconciled to Him. The price has been paid for our sins by the Lord Jesus. The invitation is still available through Christ.
Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Romans 5:8 “8 but God commends *his* love to us, in that, we being still sinners, Christ has died for us.”

What happens when Jesus passes by? Everything can change. A man who had been blind from birth could now see. A man who had been lame could now walk. Their lives were never the same because Jesus met them where they were. But the greatest miracle is not physical—it is the salvation Christ offers to sinners. The Gospel calls us to repent, believe, and be converted, finding forgiveness and new life through Jesus Christ.
Come and hear what happens when Jesus passes by—and discover what He can do in a life surrendered to Him.
Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
John 9:1-12 “9 And as he passed on, he saw a man blind from birth.2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Rabbi, who sinned, this [man] or his parents, that he should be born blind?3 Jesus answered, Neither has this [man] sinned nor his parents, but that the works of God should be manifested in him.
4 I must work the works of him that has sent me while it is day. [The] night is coming, when no one can work.5 As long as I am in the world, I am [the] light of the world.6 Having said these things, he spat on the ground and made mud of the spittle, and put the mud, as ointment, on his eyes.7 And he said to him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, which is interpreted, Sent. He went therefore and washed, and came seeing.
8 The neighbours therefore, and those who used to see him before, that he was a beggar, said, Is not this he that was sitting and begging?
9 Some said, It is he; others said, No, but he is like him: *he* said, It is I.10 They said therefore to him, How have thine eyes been opened?11 He answered [and said], A man called Jesus made mud and anointed mine eyes, and said to me, Go to Siloam and wash: and having gone and washed, I saw.12 They said therefore to him, Where is he? He says, I do not know.”
John 9:24-38 “24 They called therefore a second time the man who had been blind, and said to him, Give glory to God: we know that this man is sinful.25 He answered therefore, If he is sinful I know not. One thing I know, that, being blind [before], now I see.26 And they said to him again, What did he do to thee? how opened he thine eyes?
27 He answered them, I told you already and ye did not hear: why do ye desire to hear again? do ye also wish to become his disciples?28 They railed at him, and said, Thou art his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses.29 We know that God spoke to Moses; but [as to] this [man], we know not whence he is.
30 The man answered and said to them, Now in this is a wonderful thing, that *ye* do not know whence he is, and he has opened mine eyes.31 [But] we know that God does not hear sinners; but if any one be God-fearing and do his will, him he hears.32 Since time was, it has not been heard that any one opened the eyes of one born blind.
33 If this [man] were not of God he would be able to do nothing.34 They answered and said to him, Thou hast been wholly born in sins, and thou teachest us? And they cast him out.35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out, and having found him, he said to him, Thou, dost thou believe on the Son of God?
36 He answered and said, And who is he, Lord, that I may believe on him?37 And Jesus said to him, Thou hast both seen him, and he that speaks with thee is he.38 And he said, I believe, Lord: and he did him homage.”
Acts 3:1-8 “3 And Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, [which is] the ninth [hour];2 and a certain man who was lame from his mother’s womb was being carried, whom they placed every day at the gate of the temple called Beautiful, to ask alms of those who were going into the temple;3 who, seeing Peter and John about to enter into the temple, asked to receive alms.
4 And Peter, looking stedfastly upon him with John, said, Look on us.5 And he gave heed to them, expecting to receive something from them.6 But Peter said, Silver and gold I have not; but what I have, this give I to thee: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazaraean rise up and walk.7 And having taken hold of him [by] the right hand he raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones were made strong.
8 And leaping up he stood and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God;”
Acts 3:19-21 “19 Repent therefore and be converted, for the blotting out of your sins, so that times of refreshing may come from [the] presence of the Lord,20 and he may send Jesus Christ, who was foreordained for you,
21 whom heaven indeed must receive till [the] times of [the] restoring of all things, of which God has spoken by the mouth of his holy prophets since time began.”

We can hear about Jesus, read about Him, and know what others say about Him—but have you come to know Him for yourself? Job said, “I had heard of thee by the hearing of the ear, but now mine eye seeth thee.” The blind man cried out to Jesus and received his sight. Mary came to the empty tomb and could say, “I have seen the Lord.” This preaching looks at the difference between hearing about Jesus and knowing Him personally—not simply as someone we know about, but as My Saviour.
Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Job 42:5 “5 I had heard of thee by the hearing of the ear, but now mine eye seeth thee:”
Luke 18:35-43 “And it came to pass when he came into the neighbourhood of Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the wayside begging.36 And when he heard the crowd passing, he inquired what this might be.37 And they told him that Jesus the Nazaraean was passing by.
38 And he called out saying, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me.39 And those [who were] going before rebuked him that he might be silent; but *he* cried out so much the more, Son of David, have mercy on me.40 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be led to him. And when he drew nigh he asked him [saying],
41 What wilt thou that I shall do to thee? And he said, Lord, that I may see.42 And Jesus said to him, See: thy faith has healed thee.43 And immediately he saw, and followed him, glorifying God. And all the people when they saw [it] gave praise to God.”
John 20:1-18 “20 And on the first [day] of the week Mary of Magdala comes in early morn to the tomb, while it was still dark, and sees the stone taken away from the tomb.2 She runs therefore and comes to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, to whom Jesus was attached, and says to them, They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we know not where they have laid him.
3 Peter therefore went forth, and the other disciple, and came to the tomb.4 And the two ran together, and the other disciple ran forward faster than Peter, and came first to the tomb,
5 and stooping down he sees the linen cloths lying; he did not however go in.6 Simon Peter therefore comes, following him, and entered into the tomb, and sees the linen cloths lying,7 and the handkerchief which was upon his head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded up in a distinct place by itself.8 Then entered in therefore the other disciple also who came first to the tomb, and he saw and believed;9 for they had not yet known the scripture, that he must rise from among [the] dead.
10 The disciples therefore went away again to their own home.11 But Mary stood at the tomb weeping without. As therefore she wept, she stooped down into the tomb,12 and beholds two angels sitting in white [garments], one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.13 And they say to her, Woman, why dost thou weep? She says to them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.
14 Having said these things she turned backward and beholds Jesus standing [there], and knew not that it was Jesus.
15 Jesus says to her, Woman, why dost thou weep? Whom seekest thou? She, supposing that it was the gardener, says to him, Sir, if thou hast borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.16 Jesus says to her, Mary. She, turning round, says to him in Hebrew, Rabboni, which means Teacher.
17 Jesus says to her, Touch me not, for I have not yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brethren and say to them, I ascend to my Father and your Father, and [to] my God and your God.18 Mary of Magdala comes bringing word to the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and [that] he had said these things to her.”

The One who gave sight to the blind, strength to the helpless, and hope to the hopeless is the same Man who gave Himself as a ransom for all. Though the world saw only a man crowned with thorns, God revealed Him as the Saviour of sinners. Come and hear the wonderful story of the Man called Jesus and discover why He is still the answer to man’s greatest need.

John 9:11 “A man called Jesus made mud and anointed mine eyes,”
John 5:1-9 “5 After these things was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.2 Now there is in Jerusalem, at the sheepgate, a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches.3 In these lay a multitude of sick, blind, lame, withered, [awaiting the moving of the water.
4 For an angel descended at a certain season in the pool and troubled the water. Whoever therefore first went in after the troubling of the water became well, whatever disease he laboured under.]5 But there was a certain man there who had been suffering under his infirmity thirty and eight years.6 Jesus seeing this [man] lying [there], and knowing that he was [in that state] now a great length of time, says to him, Wouldest thou become well?
7 The infirm [man] answered him, Sir, I have not a man, in order, when the water has been troubled, to cast me into the pool; but while I am coming another descends before me.8 Jesus says to him, Arise, take up thy couch and walk.
9 And immediately the man became well, and took up his couch and walked: and on that day was sabbath.”
1 Timothy 2:4-6 “4 who desires that all men should be saved and come to [the] knowledge of [the] truth.5 For God is one, and [the] mediator of God and men one, [the] man Christ Jesus,6 who gave himself a ransom for all,”
John 19:4-5 “4 And Pilate went out again and says to them, Lo, I bring him out to you, that ye may know that I find in him no fault whatever.5 (Jesus therefore went forth without, wearing the crown of thorn, and the purple robe.) And he says to them, Behold the man!”

God sees more than our outward appearance—He sees our hearts. The Bible says He sees every life, every heart, and every secret. Yet the God who sees us is also the God who lovingly calls us to Himself through His son the Lord Jesus Christ. What does that mean for you?

Genesis 3:8-10 “8 And they heard the voice of Jehovah Elohim, walking in the garden in the cool of the day. And Man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of Jehovah Elohim, in the midst of the trees of the garden.
9 And Jehovah Elohim called to Man, and said to him, Where art thou?10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I feared, because I am naked; and I hid myself.”
Hebrews 4:13 “13 And there is not a creature unapparent before him; but all things [are] naked and laid bare to his eyes, with whom we have to do.”
Luke 15:20-23 “20 And he rose up and went to his own father. But while he was yet a long way off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran, and fell upon his neck, and covered him with kisses.21 And the son said to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee; I am no longer worthy to be called thy son.
22 But the father said to his bondmen, Bring out the best robe and clothe him in [it], and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet;23 and bring the fatted calf and kill it, and let us eat and make merry:”
