  • The Good Shepherd

    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
John 10:11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep:”
Luke 15:1-7 “And all the tax-gatherers and the sinners were coming near to him to hear him;2 and the Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, This [man] receives sinners and eats with them.3 And he spoke to them this parable, saying,
4 What man of you having a hundred sheep, and having lost one of them, does not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness and go after that which is lost, until he find it?5 and having found it, he lays it upon his own shoulders, rejoicing;6 and being come to the house, calls together the friends and the neighbours, saying to them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my lost sheep.7 I say unto you, that thus there shall be joy in heaven for one repenting sinner, [more] than for ninety and nine righteous who have no need of repentance.”
Psalms 23:1-3 “Jehovah is my shepherd; I shall not want.2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside still waters.3 He restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”

  • Deliverance Through Jesus Christ
No person or good deed in the world can offer deliverance from sin and God’s judgement. The Bible says it is only Jesus who can deliver the sinner from the coming judgment because of the victorious work he completed on Calvary’s Cross.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Luke 13:10-16 “And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.11 And lo, [there was] a woman having a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and she was bent together and wholly unable to lift her head up.12 And Jesus, seeing her, called to [her], and said to her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.13 And he laid his hands upon her; and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.14 But the ruler of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus healed on the sabbath, answering said to the crowd, There are six days in which [people] ought to work; in these therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.15 The Lord therefore answered him and said, Hypocrites! does not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the manger and leading [it] away, water [it]?16 And this [woman], who is a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound, lo, [these] eighteen years, ought she not to be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?”
Romans 5:12 “ For this [cause], even as by one man sin entered into the world, and by sin death; and thus death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”
Romans 5:18-21 “so then as [it was] by one offence towards all men to condemnation, so by one righteousness towards all men for justification of life. For as indeed by the disobedience of the one man the many have been constituted sinners, so also by the obedience of the one the many will be constituted righteous.20 But law came in, in order that the offence might abound; but where sin abounded grace has overabounded,21 in order that, even as sin has reigned in [the power of] death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Galatians 4:3-7 “So we also, when we were children, were held in bondage under the principles of the world;4 but when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, come of woman, come under law,5 that he might redeem those under law, that we might receive sonship.6 But because ye are sons, God has sent out the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, Abba, Father.7 So thou art no longer bondman, but son; but if son, heir also through God.”

  • “Trade While I am Coming”
The Lord Jesus told us many times in scripture that he was going away to prepare a place for us. While we are waiting for his promised return the following parable tells us to trade while he is coming so that there may be a greater interest in the things of God.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Luke 19:11-23 “But as they were listening to these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was near to Jerusalem and they thought that the kingdom of God was about to be immediately manifested.12 He said therefore, A certain high-born man went to a distant country to receive for himself a kingdom and return.13 And having called his own ten bondmen, he gave to them ten minas, and said to them, Trade while I am coming.14 But his citizens hated him, and sent an embassy after him, saying, We will not that this [man] should reign over us.15 And it came to pass on his arrival back again, having received the kingdom, that he desired these bondmen to whom he gave the money to be called to him, in order that he might know what every one had gained by trading.16 And the first came up, saying, [My] Lord, thy mina has produced ten minas.17 And he said to him, Well [done], thou good bondman; because thou hast been faithful in that which is least, be thou in authority over ten cities.18 And the second came, saying, [My] Lord, thy mina has made five minas.19 And he said also to this one, And *thou*, be over five cities.20 And another came, saying, [My] Lord, lo, [there is] thy mina, which I have kept laid up in a towel.21 For I feared thee because thou art a harsh man: thou takest up what thou hast not laid down, and thou reapest what thou hast not sowed.22 He says to him, Out of thy mouth will I judge thee, wicked bondman: thou knewest that *I* am a harsh man, taking up what I have not laid down and reaping what I have not sowed. 23 And why didst thou not give my money to [the] bank; and *I* should have received it, at my coming, with interest?”

  • Nothing But the Blood of Jesus
Many people today try to right their wrongs by building up a list of good works but the Bible says even our best moments are as filthy rags in the sight of God. In the Book of Romans, it says, “All mankind has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”. There is only one-way mankind can be at peace with God and that is through the person of the Lord Jesus. Over 2000 years ago Jesus came to earth to save sinners by shedding his precious blood on Calvary’s Cross. By this great sacrifice, God is able to cleanse.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
1 John 1:7 “the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin”

  • Reconciliation
God is not reckoning our offences. Jesus came into this world to save sinners and make known the love of God. The Bible says God “was reconciling the world to himself”. At Calvary’s cross Jesus took on himself the sins of mankind that we may be saved. Listen to this Gospel preaching to hear more about Reconciliation.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
2 Corinthians 5:18-21 “18 and all things [are] of the God who has reconciled us to himself by [Jesus] Christ, and given to us the ministry of that reconciliation:19 how that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their offences; and putting in us the word of that reconciliation.
20 We are ambassadors therefore for Christ, God as [it were] beseeching by us, we entreat for Christ, Be reconciled to God.21 Him who knew not sin he has made sin for us, that *we* might become God’s righteousness in him.”
2 Corinthians 6:1-2 “6 But [as] fellow-workmen, we also beseech that ye receive not the grace of God in vain:2 (for he says, I have listened to thee in an accepted time, and I have helped thee in a day of salvation: behold, now [is the] well-accepted time; behold, now [the] day of salvation:)”

And every one with whom was found acacia-wood for all manner of work of the service, brought [it].25 And every woman that was wise-hearted spun with her hands, and brought what she had spun: the blue, and the purple, and the scarlet, and the byssus.26 And all the women whose heart moved them in wisdom spun goats’ [hair].27 And the principal men brought the onyx stones, and the stones to be set, for the ephod, and for the breastplate;28 and the spice, and the oil for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the incense of fragrant drugs.29 The children of Israel brought a voluntary offering to Jehovah, every man and woman whose heart prompted them to bring for all manner of work, which Jehovah, by the hand of Moses, had commanded to be done.
Song of Songs 2:8 “The voice of my beloved! Behold, he cometh Leaping upon the mountains, Skipping upon the hills.”
Psalms 126:5-6 “They that sow in tears shall reap with rejoicing:6 He goeth forth and weepeth, bearing seed for scattering; he cometh again with rejoicing, bearing his sheaves.”

  • Testimony & Baptism of Jordan Gosling
Listen to this recording from a Baptism meeting including a word by Simon Burr followed by the testimony and baptism of Jordan Gosling.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Acts 16:23-34 “And having laid many stripes upon them they cast [them] into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely;24 who, having received such a charge, cast them into the inner prison, and secured their feet to the stocks.25 And at midnight Paul and Silas, in praying, were praising God with singing, and the prisoners listened to them.26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison shook, and all the doors were immediately opened, and the bonds of all loosed.27 And the jailor being awakened out of his sleep, and seeing the doors of the prison opened, having drawn a sword was going to kill himself, thinking the prisoners had fled.28 But Paul called out with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm, for we are all here.29 And having asked for lights, he rushed in, and, trembling, fell down before Paul and Silas. 30 And leading them out said, Sirs, what must I do that I may be saved?31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus and thou shalt be saved, thou and thy house.32 And they spoke to him the word of the Lord, with all that were in his house. 33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed [them] from their stripes; and was baptised, he and all his straightway. And having brought them into his house he laid the table [for them], and rejoiced with all his house, having believed in God.”
Philippians 1:3-8 “I thank my God for my whole remembrance of you,4 constantly in my every supplication, making the supplication for you all with joy,5 because of your fellowship with the gospel, from the first day until now;6 having confidence of this very thing, that he who has begun in you a good work will complete it unto Jesus Christ’s day:7 as it is righteous for me to think this as to you all, because ye have *me* in your hearts, and that both in my bonds and in the defence and confirmation of the glad tidings ye are all participators in my grace. 8 For God is my witness how I long after you all in [the] bowels of Christ Jesus.”
This is my story – Jordan Gosling
Some of you here know I wasn’t brought up in a Christian family and still to this day my family do not know the Lord as their personal saviour. My childhood wasn’t the greatest, my parents had me when they were very young and they separated before I was even one year’s old. Although they weren’t together, they still tried their best for me but things were difficult. I grew up moving around a lot , place to place, home to home, school to school, and never was settled. I’ve always felt like the outcast of the family, like the black sheep.
However, I found myself feeling at home whenever I was at my Nans who I lived with for a little while. She was my best friend, and I don’t like to say it as I do have a mum, but I did see my nan as more of a mother to me. We were very close. Sadly my Nan passed away when I was 11 years old, she was killed in a car accident on Valentine’s Day.
From that moment on my whole world came crashing down, it broke my heart and I became depressed and angry. I fell into depression and I didn’t care about anything or anyone. I always felt alone.. until I met this girl… Charlotte. She gave me comfort and someone who I started to care for.. however the pain didn’t go away I was still angry and hurt and still feeling like a black sheep.
It wasn’t till 2 years ago when Charlotte started to talk about church and how she was attending this church in London and that she really wanted me to come and try it out. Obviously, I had never thought of going to church before and I didn’t know anything about it but after a little while, i decided to go! My first impression was that I enjoyed it, the music was good the people were really nice but I didn’t really know what they were talking about.
But I started to take an interest in thinking who’s Jesu
