<li><p>Admonishment for a frequent reception of the Sacrament comes from two things: Jesus’ command and His promise (CQ/A 19). Jesus does command His people to eat His body and drink His blood (Matt. 26:26–27; Mark 14:22; Luke 22:19; 1 Cor. 11:24–25). To the command is added the promise, by which sins are forgiven in this Sacrament and faith is strengthened to stand against the temptations of the devil, the world and even our own flesh.
