Diversity and Inclusion, Physician Diversity & Medical Diversity are words that are tossed around a lot, but are we really making any progress when it comes to diversity in medical education?
 
In this episode, I want to have an honest conversation about the current status and trend of diversity. SPOILER ALERT: We are doing a terrible job of increasing diversity, in fact, I would argue that we have made almost zero progress in increasing diversity in the last 40 years. And if I’m going to be even more honest, one of the biggest reasons we are slipping when it comes to our diversity goals is that we are confusing EXPOSURE with EMPOWERMENT.
