Join me today for a short and sweet episode as we dive in together to the Christmas story. As we look into the lives of Zechariah, Elizabeth, Joseph, Mary and the Shepherds– they each had different roles to fill. Different contributions and therefore different sacrifices. Each of them are remembered at this time of year for the things that they did– but what about the things they didn’t? Paired with each of their stories of obedience were many things they gave up. Many hardships they faced and were willing to face. As each laid down their plans, dreams, comfort, and what others thought of them, they prepared room for their coming Messiah. Though they knew not all that it would mean, they each gave what they had to the Lord as they understood. And while we won’t have their stories, we too can and must prepare Him room in this season, but also in every facet of our lives. We may not know what He will do with it, but He does. 

So press play while you drive, wrap your presents, and finish up your cooking– and Merry Christmas!
