Though the words of Proverbs were written 2500 years ago, the applicability is timeless. When we apply its lessons, tame the tongue and pursue wisdom, we take the weapon from the enemy’s hand. A fool by contrast despises instruction and faces the consequences. Life’s corrections are presented as an opportunity for growth leading to a heart that is upright, generous, prayerful, cheerful and loving. These are just some of the treasures we find as we continue our study in the book of Proverbs.
