Just five days before they cried 'Crucify,' many of the crowd were crying out 'Hosanna!' On that 'Palm Sunday' the one crying was Jesus. Paul gives us markers as to how we can walk the path that Jesus took as he entered Jerusalem on a donkey, not a white stallion. Are you ready to live the humble life and choose the donkey? Or do you want the attention of the stallion?

What was planned from the beginning that needed to be made known by Paul? Just what was the 'mystery' if not the mercy of God that would include Jews and Gentiles as a part of 'the people of God'?

Branches... some pruned, some grafted in... have you stopped to think that the Olive Tree was changed significantly on Pentecost? The foundation (trunk/roots) is still important (Rev. 21:9-14), but we are the branches and part of the 'true Israel.'

Obviously, you cannot have trust in something not familiar to you. So, how can we even think that people can be saved ('call on him') without believing a message that they haven't heard. We need to be 'throwing out the lifeline'!

Are you making sure that the lost are "hearing" so they can believe? Read Romans 10.

Works? The 'law'? The answer to what must I do to be saved is really rather simple -- submit to the 'obedience of faith" with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You CANNOT do it on your own. Salvation is found in Christ alone.

Why? Why are not all Jews going to be saved? What is Paul's teaching regarding election... are we elected for salvation or service? What is the basis for salvation?

Paul was wrestling with the question 'Why?' Why did it seem that God had failed to keep His word concerning Israel? The answer was quite simple. He had not! There were two Israels -- ethnic Israel and the faithful remnant... the Israel of promise, not flesh.
