Is your mind on the things of God or on the things of men? Mark chapter 8
God is all-powerful! There's nothing He can't do! Right? Well...not exactly. Join me as I discuss five things that God cannot do.
His name is above all names and He is worthy to be praised. At His name, every knee will bow of those in heaven, on the earth, and under the earth and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. What's so special about this name?
Jesus said, that as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must He also be lifted up. Because the Son of Man was lifted up, we have hope for eternal life. Do you know how much God loves you? Have you trusted in Jesus Christ for the salvation of your soul? Do you know what He did for you on the cross? If so, let this be a reminder for you but If not, I pray this message will encourage you to place your faith in Christ today. Scripture taken from the book of Numbers and the Gospel of John.
Jesus allowed one of His closest friends, Lazarus, to fall ill and die when He surely could have healed Him without lifting a finger. Although it looked bad to all involved (especially Lazarus) Jesus had divine insight. He had a purpose and He had a plan. So, does God allow us to suffer just to let us suffer? Or does our suffering have a purpose bigger than ourselves? Scripture Focus on John chapters 11 and 12.
Salvation is not a payment for work performed. Salvation is attained by grace through faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ---not works. Have you received God's gift of salvation?
