Do you think representation matters? Imagine being away on business, getting ready for a meeting, only to realize you forgot your beauty products at home... it's usually not a big deal right? Except if you're a black woman or WOC and can't find anything remotely aimed at your hair type or skin. That's why Orion Brown crated Black Travel Box, beauty products made for travel, and she's talking to us today about what the process of creating a beauty brand is really like, why representation matters and so much more! You definitely don't want to miss this episode...

Let's walk down memory lane... what's one thing this year has taught you? I can think of at least a dozen in my case, but in this episode, I talk about the 5 things we all learned from 2020. It's the last episode this year, so I wanted to make it a memorable one!
As we get ready to ring in the new year and *cautiously* walk into 2021 (cause let's face it...we don't know what's waiting for us on the other side after the year we've had!), I also decided to add in an extra goal-setting challenge to the episode so you can get ready with me for those resolutions as the clock strikes 12 on the 31st of December. Thanks for your support this year, and I'm excited for you to see everything that's coming in the New Year...much love, Sabrina ❤️

Can you turn a mistake into your greatest life lesson? Emily O'Brien did precisely that after she got caught doing something illegal and ended up in prison for a couple of years. Instead of letting that mistake drag her down, she turned it around and started a business, Comeback Snacks, right out of prison. Her story is one of resilience, strength, and most importantly courage by turning a bad situation into a learning lesson. We caught up on her experience being in prison, life on the outside, and her new mission to inspire and help other inmates improve their lives after their experience behind bars. Hope you'll be snacking on this episode all day (pun fully intended 😉).

Have you ever wondered what it's like to work for the biggest names in Fashion, and be surrounded by models, designers & fancy clothes? For this Fashion Week special, I'm pulling the curtain back and showing you a behind-the-scenes look of what it's really like to work in fashion: from working as a stylist to working at a fashion show and befriending models. I've included a fun anecdote of how I ran into the cast of Gossip Girl on my first trip to NY just for fun. Remember, this is only part 1, so stay tuned for part 2, coming soon!! As women, we grow up with lots of pressure: to find a good partner, have kids while "young", be successful but not too successful, learn how to cook, be sexy & good looking but also demure, etc etc (which are all BS but that's a conversation for another day...). Now, as Latinxs, the pressure is 10x because you're now the daughter of immigrants or born in your home country with the pressure to succeed & overcome your families' struggles/limitations and it sometimes takes a lifetime of unlearning to get over these things. I talked to Mariela de la Mora, a biz & leadership coach who works with overachieving Latinxs on this week's episode. We talk about everything from growing up latinx, to working in the corporate world, dealing with racism, being a single mom & finding your purpose through dark times. Tune in and find out what Mariela's biggest life lessons have been and learn a thing or two about overcoming imposter syndrome.

What does a vegan person even eat in a day? I used to ask myself this, followed by: what the f**k does plant-based mean?! If that's you too, you're not alone...In this week's episode, I talk about what it's really like being vegan, why I chose this lifestyle, what impact it's had on my social life (I still go on dates btw, at least pre-corona 😉 ) & what exactly does it mean to be plant-based and no, it doesn't mean I only eat lettuce like a rabbit. With a hint of humor & realness, we'll talk all about this year's second hottest topic: veganism.
