Rick Seaton, a former assistant chief administrative officer for the City of Shreveport, Louisiana, was convicted in 2011 of forcibly raping an 18-year-old woman in his City Hall office. The incident occurred in 2010 after the city's New Year’s Eve celebrations. Seaton was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the crime. The case was widely reported due to Seaton's position within the city administration and the circumstances of the assault.
