  • Solis Minerals’ drone survey set to unveil copper potential
Solis Minerals Ltd (ASX:SLM, TSX-V:SLMN, OTCQB:SLMFF) executive director Matthew Boyes joins Jonathan Jackson in the Proactive studio to discuss a drone-borne magnetometry survey scheduled for early August at the Guaneros Project in Peru. This survey aims to provide initial geological insights to guide further exploration, identifying areas likely to contain copper mineralisation.
Following promising results, Solis plans to conduct a ground-based induced polarisation (IP) survey, supported by ongoing geochemical sampling and mapping. The company is simultaneously advancing exploration across all four of its projects in Peru.
Boyes highlighted the momentum in the copper portfolio exploration, emphasising the importance of airborne magnetic surveys for initial drilling targets at Guaneros. He mentioned the similarity in target generation expected with the Ilo Este and Chancho Al Palo targets, which have significant magnetic and IP geophysical signatures and surface mineralisation in altered porphyry rocks. The Guaneros project was staked in May and results are eagerly anticipated.
Solis intends to drill the four projects sequentially starting with Chancho Al Palo in December, pending permits. The company focuses on the Coastal Belt, identified as prospective for copper porphyry and plans to continue developing its Peruvian tenements, exploring lithium and copper opportunities across South America.

  • Hive Digital Technologies to Establish Major 100MW Digital Asset Mining Operation in Paraguay
Hive Digital Technologies Executive Chairman Frank Holmes joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share exciting news about the company's ambitious plans to build a 100-megawatt digital asset mining operation in Paraguay. Following a comprehensive tour of the country and meetings with President Santiago Peña and his senior cabinet ministers, the company has identified Paraguay as a business-friendly environment that aligns with its vision.
Holmes highlighted that this potential project is expected to significantly boost Hive's Bitcoin mining operations, potentially adding up to an additional 6.5 Exahash per second (EH/s). This increase would raise Hive's global mining capacity to 12.1 EH/s, marking a substantial milestone in the company's diversified growth strategy. This expansion supports Hive's commitment to broadening its global footprint, which already includes data center operations in Canada, Sweden, Iceland, and now Paraguay.
In Paraguay, Hive Digital Technologies plans to leverage its extensive experience and expertise in grid balancing and demand response to support ongoing industrial development. By monetizing surplus or under-utilized power assets, the company aims to provide significant economic benefits. Additionally, with energy bills being paid in U.S. dollars, Hive's operations in Paraguay present a unique opportunity for the government. This arrangement ensures stable monthly U.S. dollar income, acting as a strategic currency hedge and contributing to financial stability in the face of a volatile global currency market.
In 2023, electricity exports accounted for approximately 13.2% of Paraguay's total exports. Hive's new operation is poised to enhance this figure further, underscoring the country's growing importance in the global energy and digital asset sectors. The company's commitment to sustainable and innovative energy solutions positions it as a key player in Paraguay's industrial and economic development.

  • Itaconix CEO John Shaw says revenue diversification initiatives are paying off
Itaconix PLC CEO John Shaw takes Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through the company's half-year trading update and its strategic initiatives for the future.
Shaw highlighted the company’s positive first half, with notable improvements in gross profit margins despite a decline in revenue. He explained, "We had $2.8 million in revenue versus $4 million in the first half of 2023," attributing this to strategic decisions made in March and April aimed at diversifying revenue and increasing profit margins.
Shaw discussed the company's efforts to expand its revenue base, particularly in Europe, with new accounts in the dish detergent, sustainable leather, and mineral processing sectors. He also emphasized the importance of regulatory approvals in South Korea, China, Australia, and New Zealand, which will support global expansion.
Moreover, Shaw introduced two new products: the Itaconix TSI 422, an advanced automatic dish detergent polymer, and TSI ONZ 405, a dry form of polymeric zinc itaconate for odor neutralization in laundry additives.
Shaw said he remains optimistic about the company’s trajectory, maintaining a revenue target of $6 to $6.5 million and a gross profit margin of 36% for the year.

  • Zephyr Energy sees strong results from State 36-2R well production test, outlines next steps
Zephyr Energy PLC (AIM:ZPHR, OTCQB:ZPHRF) CEO Colin Harrington takes Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through the initial results from the State 36-2R production test.
Harrington detailed the multiple phases of the test, highlighting the well’s strong initial pressures and deliverability. He mentioned experimenting with different choke settings to determine both short-term and long-term productivity. A peak rate of 1,350 BOE per day was achieved, although conservatively choked to avoid impacting liquid rates.
A key takeaway was the significantly higher liquid response, with over 600 barrels of condensate per day and almost no water production, minimizing disposal costs. The high condensate levels positively impact the well's economics and the broader Paradox Play, where the southern acreage shows more liquid-rich potential than previously expected.
Regarding the next steps, Harrington discussed plans for a larger acid job to clean natural fractures and obtain a true picture of the well’s potential, scheduled for early to mid-August. Additionally, Zephyr Energy is preparing for further development of the Paradox Basin asset, exploring industry partnerships to accelerate growth.

  • Helix Exploration gets construction underway at Ingomar Dome ahead of Q3 drilling
HeLIX Exploration PLC (AIM:HEX) chairman David Minchin takes Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through an operational update at the Ingomar Dome project in Montana.
Minchin shared that construction work has commenced, marking a significant milestone after years of planning. The company is building a road and a well pad, with drilling anticipated to start by early August. This operation is part of a two-well Q3 appraisal drilling campaign, focusing on the Clink #1 well at the Ingomar Dome and the Darwin #1 well at the recently acquired Rudyard project.
Minchin highlighted that the Clink #1 well targets a historical site where non-flammable gas was previously found but never tested for helium. The Rudyard project, already a proven helium discovery, will see drilling adjacent to past wells with helium concentrations of up to 1.3%.
Helix Exploration has a combined budget of $4.1 million for these wells, supported by a £7.5 million IPO raise. The chairman emphasised the cost-efficiency and rapid progress in Montana, partly due to local suppliers and the strong management team led by Bo Sears.
The drilling is expected to take 3 to 4 weeks, with significant news flow anticipated throughout this period. Investors should look out for updates on gas shows, wireline results, flow tests, and ultimately, the commercial viability of the discoveries.
