  • Atrato Capital highlights strong performance and growth opportunities for Supermarket Income REIT
Atrato Capital managing director, Robert Abraham and finance director Michael Perkins visit the Proactive studio to discuss the interim results of Supermarket Income REIT PLC (LSE:SUPR, OTC:SUPIF), emphasising the sector's strong performance.
Abraham said key tenants, Tesco and Sainsbury's, have reported robust sales growth and market share, particularly in omni-channel stores, which have seen the most significant sales increases. The investment market presents an attractive pipeline of accretive assets for SUPR, with current leverage allowing capacity for targeting these opportunities, he added.
Perkins noted that SUPR reported a 15% increase in net rental income for the six months ending December 2023, driven by acquisitions and rent review income, maintaining stable adjusted earnings of 2.9 pence. Despite operating at lower leverage, the company is on track to meet its full-year dividend target of 6.06 pence.
Since SUPR's IPO in 2017, Abraham said the grocery sector has seen a 35% sales growth, reaching a market size of £250 billion, with this increase largely attributable to like-for-like sales growth in omni-channel spaces, indicating a maturation phase for discounters. The grocery sector's strength has enhanced the property market, with store turnovers growing ahead of rents, demonstrating the affordability of rents for key tenants.
The investment market has witnessed record volumes of £2.1 billion, highlighting the attractiveness of supermarkets as an investment. With a robust balance sheet, low leverage (LTV of 33%), and significant headroom across banking covenants, Perkins said is well-positioned to pursue earnings-accretive acquisitions.

  • Coro Energy discusses finance offer for rooftop solar plan In Vietnam
Coro Energy PLC managing director Michael Carrington joined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion with details of a debt finance agreement to fund the initial rollout of its rooftop solar panels on Mobile World Investment Corporation sites in Vietnam.
Vietnamese lender HDBank has made an in-principle offer to provide funding for the pilot stage of the project.
This would stretch to ten prospective locations for rooftop solar to be fitted initially and would cover half of the capital needed for each.
Carrington highlighted the significant role of debt finance in this endeavor, notably from HDX Bank, a local Vietnamese institution experienced in rooftop solar financing.
This initiative is in partnership with Mobile World Investment Corp (MWG), presenting a substantial opportunity for Coro Energy. Carrington explained the pilot project's funding, which is just under $300,000 for 10 sites, with HDX Bank committing to 50% of the debt finance. This prudent approach ensures a thorough evaluation before broader implementation.

  • Intra Energy Corp identifies three significant lithium anomalies
Intra Energy Corporation Ltd (ASX:IEC) managing director Ben Dunn sits down with Proactive’s Jonathan Jackson to discuss the latest discoveries at the Maggie Hays Hill Project. IEC has identified three significant lithium anomalies within the Lake Johnston Greenstone Belt in Western Australia. These anomalies extend up to 1,200 metres in length and 500 metres in width and reveal lithium oxide values ranging from 60ppm to 147ppm.
Maggie Hays Hill is near notable spodumene deposits, being 25 kilometres north of TG Metals' Burmeister deposit and northwest of the Medcalf spodumene deposit of Charger Metals and Rio Tinto.
Dunn shares his insights on these results from initial soil sampling, emphasising the discovery of kilometre-long lithium soil anomalies in previously unexplored territories.
With 754 soil assays still pending, Dunn is optimistic about the large-scale anomalies, especially those found where fertile granites are exposed at the surface, hinting at the obscured scale of anomalism due to surface alluvial cover. Intra Energy is now gearing up for RC drilling.

  • Northstar Gold Corp announces positive lidar results from Rosegrove Property in Ontario
Northstar Gold Corp's CEO, Brian Fowler joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce the results from recently completed LiDAR and Mobile Metal Ion (MMI) soil surveys at the Rosegrove Property. Situated immediately northwest of Northstar’s Miller Copper-Gold Property and 13 kilometers south of the town of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, Rosegrove is a key focus area for the company's exploration efforts.
Fowler explained that the 2021 property-wide UAV magnetic survey, along with the recent LiDAR and MMI surveys at Rosegrove, have revealed multiple coincidental magnetic, structural, and soil geochemical gold anomalies. These anomalies are associated with the regional first order Pacaud Fault Zone, as well as two distinct copper trends and zinc anomalies in Pacaud Assemblage metavolcanics.
Importantly, the Pacaud Assemblage rocks host the volcanogenic massive sulphide horizons recently confirmed by Northstar’s Cam Copper Mine drill program on the adjacent Miller Copper-Gold Property.
In response to these findings, Northstar plans to conduct ground truthing of these new exploration targets in the upcoming summer season. This will involve an extensive mapping, prospecting, sampling, and trenching program aimed at further delineating the potential of these targets and advancing the understanding of the geological structures in the area.
Overall, these survey results represent an important step forward in Northstar's exploration efforts and demonstrate the significant exploration potential of the Rosegrove Property.
