Can we all agree that no good comes out of our anger? We are commanded to love God with all of our heart, soul, and mind; and to love our neighbors as ourselves. We are also called upon to love our enemies and forgive them. Yet, our anger too often gets the best of us and makes us poor witnesses for Jesus Christ. Can we agree that we need help to control our anger and that our only help is in Christ Jesus? Come study with us as we examine the verses that lead the way to a peaceful (and not angry) life.

On June 7, 2025, we presented Part 1 of a 2-part episode addressing the need for God to be a controlling factor in the life of our children. We opened that episode by talking to parents and parent figures and ended by speaking directly to our children about how they can avoid those pitfalls with the help of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
This week we continue our discussion on the importance of biblical scripture as guiding rails in the life of our children. We urge you to listen with your children to enable them to survive the world they face as they mature into the Christians that our God wants them to be.

We all need prayer and guidance as we seek to raise our children in a manner that is pleasing to God. We seek to help those parents and parent figures who wring their hands in prayer as they see their children straying off that narrow road that leads to holiness. There is hope. Think back to when you were young. If you were like most of us, you spent much time doing bad things, also. Yet, Jesus saved you and you are striving everyday to please Him. With our understanding, compassion, example, and prayers our children can indeed come up in the way that they should go. Listen to this podcast with our children as we talk directly to them and urge and encourage them to do the right thing. Let us pray together and learn together so that today will start a new and blessed chapter in the life of our children.

Jesus was a man. He felt pain just as we do. And yet He suffered excruciating pain on the cross because of His love for us. Even though we were not born when He was crucified, He still looked down through time and loved us despite our faults. Because of that love, He died in our place. He called us His friends. What a friend we have in Jesus! We must never be too busy to stop and praise God for the gift of His Son.
Are you going through a trial or tribulation? Welcome to the club! It has been said that we are either in a trial, coming out of a trial, or going into a trial. Regardless of the situation, we all need and have Jesus to help us. We just have to pause, call on His name, and listen to the voice of the indwelling Holy Spirit. “Peace be still,” Jesus said to the storm. He can and will do the same in our lives if we would just let Him.
