The guest host for today's show is Brad Bannon. Brad runs Bannon Communications Research, a polling, message development and media firm which helps labor unions, progressive issue groups and Democratic candidates win public affairs and political campaigns. His new show, 'Deadline D.C. with Brad Bannon,' airs every Monday from 3-4pm ET.

The two discuss a piece that Russell recently wrote on Congress's 'power of inherent contempt,' which allows Congress to enforce its own subpoenas by fining or arresting those who do not comply with their requests.

They also analyze what the House's priorities should be heading into the 2020 election cycle.

During the second half of the show, Brad leads a political round table with two guests discussing the new, and extremely restrictive, Alabama abortion law. This includes what the panel thinks the Supreme Court may do in regards to 'Roe v. Wade' if presented with a case challenging the law. Finally, they analyze whether new anti-abortion laws, sprouting up in states around the country, will galvanize voters in 2020.
