This week we talk about the recent public profession of faith of Kanye West.  Many media outlets have reported that Kanye has accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and is doing revival style services around the country.  Shortly after the recording Kanye put out an album titled "Jesus Is King" which has become an instant success.  So what do we do with a celebrity that has such a professed public conversion?  Do we believe him or are we being taken for a ride?  That's what we discuss this episode.

This week we look at the guilty verdict in Botham Jean's murder case, the sentence and the testimony of Botham's brother Brandt in both stating forgiveness and hugging his brothers murderer.  We consider the justice of the sentence and the backlash of those that state forgiveness should not have been given.  We demonstrate how forgiveness is of God and therefore if we have been forgiven then we should never hesitate to forgive others.

On this weeks episode... wait have we been doing this for a year now?...Anyways we see one of the fallouts from the Josh Harris apparent apostasy is the rejection and raging against purity culture.  Well what is purity culture and is it a good thing?  We look at a TGC article to discover the dangers of purity culture as it was portrayed in the US and show how it is different than our actual call to purity (1 Thess 4:3-8).

This week we talk about the Biblical principle of bearing your own load and what that means for us in 2019.  We need to be people who learn how to study the Bible and how to be mature believers that are able to bear our own load and Biblically solve the everyday problems that come our way.  We must be able to verbalize our own doctrine and beliefs and not just defer to our favorite theologians.  We also learn about the balance between bearing our own loads and sharing life's burdens with one another.

This week we congratulate the US Women National Soccer Team for their recent win at the World Cup.  We then take a look at how that win has been celebrated and transitioned to superstar athletes telling us how we should shape our worldview.  We look at the world of celebrities, athletes and even celebrity pastors and see how they can affect our identity and how we should respond to them in finding our identity in Christ.

This week we answer another listener email that asks us to discuss the importance of young adults in church ministry.  While young adults have a wide variety of places that they can serve they also need to be discipled by the Church. We look at the balance of using young adults for more labor intense ministries and investing into their lives through discipleship.
