The sage who founded the philosophical school of Vaisesika, the one who Pioneered the atomic theory,  the originator of the idea of the indestructible nature of matter. It was none other than the great Kanad, the Indian natural scientist and philosopher. His name literally means, ‘atom-eater’. He is estimated to have lived around the 2nd century BCE. He represents the earliest Indian physics.

Born in the Yadav clan, son of Devki and Vasudev, smuggled across river Yamuna, Lord Krishna. The most beloved God in Indian mythology. The tale of Lord Krishna is totally extra-ordinary, all the adventures as a kid, the pranks he pulled on the people of Vraj.

The North Star, aka the Polaris, has become a boon to many travellers in sea as well as on land to find directions in the night. One can easily spot the North Star in the sky, and then go ahead. Fun fact: North Star would be directly over your head if you were at the North Pole!

Like every other star, it also has cycles of getting bright and dim, but since the past few decades, it has been getting brighter and brighter. The reason why the Polaris is so important is because the Earth’s axis is directly pointed towards it.

It would not be surprising for many people when the word Polaris would be linked to the word Dhruva Tara, named after a small boy who shook the world to achieve recognition and respect by sacrificing his comforts! Let's revive this old story of the Dhruva Tara from our childhood times and understand how it all happened! Indeed, he is up above the world so high, and he is the diamond in the sky!
