For many centuries, Hindus have been celebrating Gudi Padva. It is called Paadyami in Telugu and Samsara Padavo in Konkani. It is celebrated as Ugadi or Yugadi In Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka and Cheti Chand by the Sindhi community.
Thus, Gudi Padwa is celebrated by various Hindu communities with several names.
Now the significant question is WHY Hindu New Year is NOT celebrated on the same day every year, just like the Christian New Year?
