Pride makes it impossible to submit to God. When you can't submit to Him, it is difficult to trust, seek, and fear the Lord. James 4:6 says, "God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble," so we should stop our arrogant thinking. From a place of humility, we can collaborate with the Holy Spirit, and when we listen (obey), He will lift us up in honor.
