  • Heated Rivalry Part 1: Communication is Sexy

Erin and Brennan begin Pride Month with communication issues similar to Shane and Ilya: Erin's computer keeps breaking and Brennan only hears what he wants to hear. But besides our technical difficulties, can we just bask in the glow of this hotness? I mean, BUTTS FOR DAYS! But also, SO DEVISTATING! They didn't even KISS!!!!! Our main relationship is hot Russian bad-boy meats pure-hearted (Canadian) wunderkind, then mass miscommunication ensues. On the other hand, we have the Françios Arnaud, Erin's love since the naughtiest Pope, and Ki-P, who always adds an extra banana. Their relationship teaches us that Brennan gets hot for people who use "please."

I said what I said.  (It's Pride Month, it's MY MONTH) - Brennan

  • Thor Ragnarok: Hammer of the Gods AHHHHHH

We come from the land of ice and snow, where Thor is hawt and the lost things go! This week Erin and Brennan (siblings from work) drive the ships to new lands, away from Hela, while Thor and Loki seek to overcome their past to become the gods they were born to be. Along the way, we have Valkyrie, the hard drinking "Scrapper," Hulk + Bruce Banner as reigning Arena Grand Champion, and Topaz trying to get the Grand Master to melt everyone. This movie was a giant shift forward for Thor and Marvel, giving us laughs in lieu of the drama befitting a grand epic. This podcast has references to the Lord of the Rings, the modern reality of imperialistic conquests, and Thor was at one point turned into a frog! Don't worry, he got better. To top it all off, add a dash of Led Zeppelin and you have a fun ride.

  • Kenobi Part 2: Hello There!

Welcome back again again Void! This week we are completing our discussions on the Kenobi miniseries and are having a great time! It's got Kenobi, Kenobi swimming, Kenobi fighting, and GOD Kenobi? I mean, that's a LOT of boulders to throw at one guy, that one guy being Vader of course. Watch out Luke! It'll happen to you in 15 years or so! These three episodes are all about the relationship between Obi-wan and Vader, and Reva's choices when it comes to her definition of justice. It poses questions about who is "master" and how Leia became the rebel leader we know her to be. Also, did you know that Aunt Beru is a badass?

Also, Erin laughs at a dead youngling in stasis. We're concerned.

  • Kenobi Part 1: Jedi and a Half

Happy Star Wars Month!!!! Our 3 Jedi Masters in exile have spent the last 10 years watching Luke run from his chores and we're pretty tired of it. A broken Obi-Wan Kenobi is called into the fray to tackle his greatest challenge: a small willful child (AKA Princess Leia). Meanwhile, the Inquisitors are struggling to find the last Jedi in the galaxy through layers of paint and prosthetics. Only one still frightens us, and curiously she only has her face contoured. Reeva (3rd Sister) has the drive and stubbornness of Lord Vader. We've got Flee as a kidnapper, Kumail as a jedi con artist, and the return of Hayden Christensen to spar against his old master and rake him over the coals. Goodness, that Sith is unforgiving!

  • Yellow Submarine: A-Blue-terate Them!!!

Ahoy Maties! Cheerio, pip-pip, and all that! Welcome to the final week of Submarine month, where we're swapping nuclear missiles for the power of MUSIC!!! We face the Bonkers, Clowns, and Jack-the-Pinchers to bring LOVE, YES, and VERY FRIENDLY HANDSHAKES back to Pepperland. No Nazis here! Instead, we celebrate our father's birthday by having many different discussions about the Beatles, their involvement in this film, how the film makers chose to portray each member, and what kind of sheep they will one day grow into once they're 64. Honestly, we're surprised at the number of songs that the Beatles just "threw in" this movie that turned into total bangers! We also learned that Erin and Brennan have very confusing timelines for when Beatles died.

  • Das Boot: Das Anxiety!!!

Gutin Tag! Wunderbar! Schnell! ALARM!!! Oh wait, it's Submarine Month Part 3 and that means we need to talk about Das GREATEST submarine movie of all time, Das Boot. That means "The Boat" in German! Did we mention it's about Das Nazis terrorizing Allied forces in Das North Atlantic? Did we also mention that through shared anxiety, claustrophobia, and Das drive to survive (not F1 or Mercedes) you are actively rooting for this crew to live????? We follow Das U-96 as its struggles go from bad to worse to REAL bad to Das literal bottom of Das Strait of Gibraltar. Das crew shows how painful boredom can be, Das terror of depth charges, and Das pain of pubic crabs. Es ist der beste U-Boot-Film!

  • Crimson Tide: Bumble Butt

Welcome back to Submarine Month, and today we are diving deeper into the psychological stresses of being in a confined metal tube for weeks at a time. We have Denzel Washington and Gene Hackman arguing about the right way to use nuclear missiles. (And guess what, one of them is right and one is very very wrong.) Brennan references War Games several times (I can't help that it's good at explaining nuclear warfare), and Erin talks about how Tony Scott got around the US Navy by using the power of PUBLIC DOMAIN BABY! To be honest, we get very real with this movie and how it's a film of its time. And despite the fictional nature of the narrative, we see how it's being implemented today. But don't get too disheartened, next week is Das Boot!

  • 20,000 Leagues Without a Shirt

Ahoy! I'm a man! You're a man! WE'RE ALL MEN! At least, that's what Kirk Douglas' character would have us all shouting in our review of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. This is it, the progenitor of steampunk, nautical sci-fi, and submarine movies in general, and that's why we watched it! For our Submarine Month, we are going through the most impactful submarine movies, and it helps we could only think of four besides Hunt for Red October. So naturally, we had to begin with the grandaddy. We discuss mythical monsters becoming the technology of the future, the complexities of Captain Nemo, and the factual attacks of giant squids! We're farming kelp, sending messages by Sting (in bottles), wondering when they'll kill Ned, running from puppet sharks, and basking in the heavy homoerotic undertones. In the end we count how many times Pirates of the Caribbean just copied this movie. It was a lot.

"And then they made me their chief."

  • Milano-Cortina Olympics: Get the Espresso Suits!

Buongiorno! (We're Italian now.) The Winter Olympics may have ended two weeks ago, but in Italy, we're just in time. Broadcasting to you from the famed snowy slopes of Los Angeles and Tokyo, Erin and Brennan break down the epic moments and controversies from the 2026 Olympic Games. From toy cauldrons to fine spandex butts, we have the content you CRAVE! Heck, let's throw in Heated Rivalry to get more clicks while we're at it! We boo Vance, run from Nazgûl, and celebrate the dominance of U.S. female athletes. For an added bonus, learn more about biathalon, the reality of poking granite, and how fine the skeleton team is. We spent more than a few minutes discussing hawt athletes, and thank the gods there were so many to oogle. But when all is said and done, we love seeing competitors cheering for each other, the Olympic spirit prevailing, and eating tiramisu.

  • Moneyball: Island of Misfit Boys

Welcome back, Void! It's our mother's birthday so we will be discussing one of her favorite topics: SPORT! This time we're discussing baseball, and in particular Moneyball, which took place in our community. It's the story of the criminally underpaid Oakland A's and their quest to get slightly better. This movie is not about successes or heroic deeds, it's about STATISTICS, ANALYTICS, and MATHEMATICS!! We do have a ton of fun talking about submarine pitchers, the Streak, the superstitions of baseball, and the mad mind games of player trading. Brennan has a one-sided beef with KNBR, Erin can relate to Hatteberg through her kickball experiences, and they both agree that Oakland's love for their teams has not been reciprocated by the team owners (EVER). Despite the A's move to Las Vegas, and despite our hosts being bigger fans of other teams, let's be real, it's hard not to be romantic about baseball.
