In today's episode of Psych Talk I chat with Chelsea Myers, podcast host and postpartum mental health advocate. Chelsea discusses her postpartum mental health journey after her first daughter, as well as her birth trauma and postpartum mental health journey with her second daughter. Chelsea discusses the various treatments she tried, what worked for her and what didn't, as well as the supports she relied on throughout her journey. Chelsea offers words of encouragement and hope for individuals who are struggling with their mental health postpartum and talks about how she has turned her experiences into a podcast and support group for individuals to come together and share their stories so that they know they are not alone.
We recognize pregnancy, birth, birth trauma, and postpartum mental health can be difficult subjects for many, so please take care of yourself when listening to this episode.
