The Winnipeg Jets looked like the real deal in Game 7 vs Nashville AND Game 1 vs Vegas. Game 2 on the other hand... that's another conversation.
Geeta, P Mac and Ryan join you this week to talk all about the conference finals. They also take a brief moment mid-show to kill a gigantic wasp that entered the palatial estate.
Washington steamrolled Tampa Bay in two decisive road victories. Now that the dragon has been slayed, is there any stopping the Capitals? This is a multi-time President's Trophy winning team, perfect on paper who just couldn't get past Sid the Kid! Now, Pittsburgh is in the rearview. What will happen when the series returns to DC?
Also in Winnipeg, the Jets take their foot off the gas in Game 2. The Golden Knights tinkered with their line up and it definitely paid off. Going back to the desert, which team has the upper hand? They also rave about Dustin Byfuglien, Ryan Reaves' amazing pre-game interview with Scott Oake AND Marc-Andre Fleury's stellar goaltending ... up until the West Final.
Finally, the gang answers some great Twitter questions, talk about Jake Virtanen's fantastic steps in the right direction and the hard work he is putting in and more!

It happened! It finally happened! The Washington Capitals will play in the Eastern Conference Final.
P Mac, Geeta and Ryan gather this week after some very intriguing eliminations in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Pittsburgh gets bounced in six games after back to back Stanley Cup championships. What went wrong? Was Sid the Kid and the kids a little tuckered out after playing so much hockey the past three years?
San Jose is sent home in six games after another Marc-Andre Fleury shutout for the Golden Knights. Fleury is having a record setting postseason and Vegas continues to look terrified and rested. What will happen with Jumbo Joe Thornton and Evander Kane? Two unrestricted free agents at very different parts of their careers.
They also discuss Jim Benning and the Vancouver Canucks' prospects, Brad Marchand licking his way into headlines and out of the Stanley Cup playoffs, as the Bruins get sent home after four straight losses to the Tampa Bay Lightning!

They discuss the Winnipeg Jets' insanely stacked team. How Mark Scheifele's patient progression is finally paying off, and how we all forgot how dominant playoffs Byfuglien is! Who's going to come out of that series in one piece??
They also talk about the Vancouver Canucks' three MVP winning prospects, another bad year at the NHL Draft Lottery Party and the request to send Fin to represent the team.
They talk about Hart Trophy candidates, Lou Lamoriello's no longer the general manager in Toronto, and who will wind up taking the reigns after two successful seasons following a whole lot of pain in their rebuild.

The second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs are ALMOST upon us and we've got a full bench talking about the sweeps, the short series, the serious lack of upsets and the plethora of coach firings.
The Pittsburgh Penguins take care of the Philadelphia Flyers in six games after an upside down, roller coaster of a series. They are all set to play the Washington Capitals in the second round (stop us if you've heard this before)
They also talk Vancouver Canucks. Elias Pettersson wins the Swedish League MVP and literally gets dipped in gold. They discuss the Sedins' shared nomination for the King Clancy award and Boeser's chances of winning the Calder Trophy.
They're talking about the coach vacancies around the league that popped up after an entire season of employment for all 31 head coaches in the league. Calgary has a new head coach, Dallas needs one as do the Rangers and Carolina Hurricanes (at a discounted price).
Finally, a Dave rant about the Flyers fans, the gang gives their Stanley Cup predictions and they pick their best possible lines to win game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final of current players only.

From the incredible Vegas Golden Knights' taking a commanding 3-0 series over lead over the LA Kings. The Golden Knights' are playing some of the most impressive playoff hockey and making the Kings like amateurs. They also discuss all of the Golden Knights' success as an expansion team...but is some context required for the record books?
They also discuss the comeback wins from the Toronto Maple Leafs, who make a series of it agains the Boston Bruins. They weigh in on Nazem Kadri's awful hit on Tommy Wingles and his three game suspension.
They also discuss the fighting New Jersey Devils, lead by Taylor Hall, the return of Sidney Crosby in the playoffs and how bulletin board material seems to always feed Crosby playoff machine.

A full bench at the palatial estate this week as the gang discusses the Sedins' retirement, their final games and what Jim Benning and the Canucks will do with that 14 million dollars in cap space.
They also give a lot of praise for Claude Giroux. Who lead the Flyers in his best season yet into the playoffs on the final day of the regular season. How far will Philadelphia go this season?
The NY Rangers fire Alain Vigneault at 11pm after the final game of the season. Were will AV wind up? How long will he be unemployed for and should the Rangers have cut ties with AV at this point in their rebuild, retool, or whatever you call it!

The Vancouver Canucks' goaltender of the future finally makes his NHL debut... and it was pretty okay.
Ryan, Geeta and P Mac chat over the Easter long weekend to discuss the big debut of Thatcher Demko on Saturday afternoon. After several years of development in college and the AHL, the Canucks' goaltending prospect made his debut against a Columbus Blue Jackets team hungry for points and home ice advantage.
They also discuss Scott Foster's emergency call up with the Chicago Blackhawks. His fourteen perfect minutes of play were one of the few bright spots for the struggling Blackhawks this season.
Denis Potvin had some pretty salty words for the Edmonton Oilers. Major praise for McDavid, but heavy criticism for the rest of the team and management. The gang asks what needs to be done over the summer to try and get them back to the playoffs, just one year removed from a second round appearance.
They also discuss the red-hot Boston Bruins. They overtook Tampa atop the Atlantic Division, have some incredible depth and look to be built for the playoffs. How far will they go? And how about that new one year deal for Big Z? Will the Sedins look for something similar?

A collapse in Texas as the Dallas Stars lose eight in a row and their playoff hopes are slipping away fast.
Geeta, P Mac and Ryan join you this week to discuss the Vancouver Canucks signing Hobey Baker favourite Adam Gaudette. The NCAA star is expected to see some ice time in Vancouver wearing #88 during the final games of the regular season.
They also discuss the collapse in Dallas. Are the Stars just not good enough? Perhaps a lack of bottom six depth or a back end just not good enough next to other teams in the West? Or is Ken Hitchcock to blame? It has been a rocky road to say the least.
Since being traded to San Jose, Evander Kane is really flourishing. Twelve points in twelve games. The "controversial" player seems to have finally found a team and a veteran core to thrive with.
Also this week, Connor McDavid is lighting it up in garbage time, does it matter? We answer some great twitter questions and learn some more devastating news regarding draft picks in Cow Town!

Brad Marchand is no longer reformed, the Canucks can't score goals and Alex Ovechkin and Patrik Laine are trading 40 goal seasons.
Geeta, P Mac and Ryan join you this week to discuss the scary scene at Rogers Arena last Monday night, which saw the end of Brock Boeser's Calder Cup bid as well as his season. They also discuss the teammates who followed him to the hospital.
They also discuss Alex Ovechkin having another 40 goal season. Could he play long enough to pass Wayne Gretzky's goal scoring totals? Breaking one of Wayne's records sounds like an impossible feat, but there is a solid chance he could.
Brad Marchand is up to his usual tricks. Embellishing fines, dangerous collisions and suspensions have returned to his game following nearly two seasons of squeaky clean hockey. What needs to be done with Rat Boy?
Finally, the gang answers question from Twitter, from going to Vancouver Canucks games to a couple great "Would You Rathers", as well as Ryan's new career as a professional Bachelor Party Partier
