The Minnesota Fightin' Vikings lost the NFC North Title Game (basically) to the Detroit Lions 16-13 in soul crushing fashion as Sam Bradford threw an interception that setup a chip shot Matt Prater game winning kick. Mike Zimmer and the Vikes finally got right versus Arizona and look to avenge the 'heart ripped from chest" loss the Lions put on them a few weeks ago. The Minnesota Fightin' Vikings have mercifully released kicker Blair Walsh to the boisterous cheers of a Purple fanbase who demanded blood, anyone's blood, for this four-game losing steak. So what now? Walsh was indeed under performing, but he didn't play offensive line, running back, or defense. There are still many items on this suddenly 5-4 football team that need addressing beyond punting a kicker with three years left on his contract.

The Minnesota Fightin' Vikings that started out 5-0 has gone into hiding like Dave Chappelle right after Chappelle's Show went off the air. The Vikes played a back and forth skirmish with Washington by the Potomac, but ultimately lost 26-20. There are a lot of hard questions that need answering as the Purple drop to 5-4 on the season and just watched the idle Detroit Lions move into first place in the division.
