Purple FTW! Podcast

(Cross-Posted Content with The Andy Carlson Show)

ALL Vikings talk on this special cross-over episode of the Purple FTW! Podcast and my new project The Andy Carlson Show. Love talking about all sports and all topics on the new show, but we all know that the Minnesota Fightin' Vikings is my wheelhouse (or at least mediocre wheelhouse). We talked about upcoming Vikings free agency, what the heck to do with Mike Wallace, and pontificate about my two draft crushes and how Trader Rick can come up with both of them.If you like what you hear, please feel free to subscribe to the show on iTunes and Stitcher. The Minnesota Fightin' Vikings look to reload and take another step forward in the 2016 season. To do so, Rick Spielman will have to work his magic once again and supplement the already young and talented roster with players who will help push Mike Zimmer and his crew over the hump. The NFL Combine kicks off this Friday in Indianapolis. All of the NFL GMs, scouts, executives, coaches, etc are descending on Lucas Oil Stadium (but really St. Elmo's) to scope out the next crop of NFL talent as the young men compete in events tangentially related to the game of American Football, all while wearing their skivvies.

Luke Inman (@Luke_Spinman) is back in the house to tell us about what matters at the Combine, what doesn't and what Vikings fans should look for this weekend. Also I try to stump Luke in a festive round of NFL COMBINE TRIVIA!

All that and other "Underwear Olympics" nonsense on this edition of the Purple FTW! Podcast.

Jared Allen hung em up after 12 NFL seasons including 6 with the Minnesota Fightin' Vikings. He's one of my all-time favorite Vikings and I eulogize his career during the intro of the show. We then have a chat with Brandon Kraniger (@skolszn) about his All-22 work on the Vikes and what he saw this season.

All that and other "Culinary Academy" nonsense on this edition of the Purple FTW! Podcast.

(Excerpt from Episode 252)

Jared Allen was one of my favorite all-time Vikings. Fun on the field, fun off the field and a solid example to NFL players -- and all of us really -- how you can get your life in order and do good in the world. All while being yourself. Culinary Academy.
