Purple Reign

We've spent all offseason wondering if the league would go to either conferences or divisions and we now know that we will have two conferences of six to mixed reviews as the East is a bloodbath while the West is a walk in the park for our Frost

As promised we're back following the release of the 2026/27 schedules being released and we're very upset as our Frost's schedule doesn't look good for an immediate return trip for usHowever we're here to focus on the key dates that will shape the league as it enters a brand new era going into Season 4

The countdown to Denmark continues with our team previews as this time its Canada

Our arch rivals have a lot to prove as they did not live up to expectations in Italy but with changes afoot in the organisation could they be about to turn a corner

At this year's World Championships we will see a brand new format where the two groups will be balanced and with Pluto now getting in on the game the entire Purple Trio look at how it will impact the tournament

With the PWHL having now expanded to 12 teams the questions about scheduling continues to grow as is it time to bring in conferences and divisions and how many teams should compete for the Walter Cup

Not long after the Canes bested the Golden Brats in the Finals CBC lost its rights to broadcast the NHL putting its infamous Hockey Night in Canada at risk of facing the axe after 90 years on tellyBut when one door closes another one opens as the PWHL has reached an agreement to showeight games across the season with the first being the Montreal Victoire's banner night when they host PWHL Hamilton

Anaheim would make a great stop for a Takeover Tour or a potential expansion market in SoCal especially as it has Disneyland right on its doorstep I see a lot of potential marketing strategies for the PWHL at the most happiest place on earth which has a high volume of local visitors who could easily hop on over to Honda Center for a game or two

Its a big week in the PWHL as we are set to reveal our 2026/27 schedules as today we got news about Opening Weekend and everyone's home openersAnd it seems I've angered the gods as what I didn't want to happen has indeed come true as our Frost will be the first to make their way to San Jose on opening night

Brodie Brazil is a living legend and he has done so much working in making content for the San Jose Sharks and over the last few months we've seen him have interviews with various members of PWHL San Jose

Since it was announced back in May that the PWHL would be expanding to San Jose my nhl team the San Jose Sharks have gone above and beyond to make PWHL San Jose feel welcomed to their new homeAs a lifelong Sharks supporter I couldn't be more prouder of my team as the Sharks didn't have to do what they've done but they did it because they recognise and understand the importance of the PWHL arriving to San Jose
