Going into the final stretch of the regular season it was literally do or die for the defending champions and oh how did they thrive under pressure

In particular Nicole Hensley who has struggled throughout the year but rose to the task shutting out the Charge and then only letting one goal past the Fleet as our Minnesota Frost booked thier place in the Walter Cup Playoffs

During the World Championships the league confirmed the date and location of the PWHL Entry Draft 2025 which will take place in Ottawa on the 24th June but with expansion teams from Vancouver & Seattle entering the league and the Sirens winning the Gold Plan again there's still a lot we don't know

As we expected a second expansion team for 2025/26 was indeed coming and with Vancouver joining from Canada it made complete sense that Seattle would join them

Unlike BC the press conference held in the Emerald City was more of a party atmosphere with even getting athletes from Seattle's womens sports teams making speeches

All in all we couldn't be more thrilled to see Seattle join our ever growing family and we look forward to your first matchup with our Minnesota Frost in 2025/26

It took the league almost all of Year 2 but finally our Inaugural Walter Cup champions Minnesota Frost have finally recieved their championship rings and they are absolutely beautifulThe jewel captures the historic moment of our team claiming the first Walter Cup in Boston on the 29th May 2024

April 23 2025 marked a huge milestone in the PWHL as our first ever expansion team was announced in Vancouver and the entire Purple Trio couldn't be more happier for them

Vancouver is a natural fit as they will be the first team in the league to be the primary tenant of its home arena with their practice facility just a few steps away and following the almighty success of the Takeover Tour they had to go first

We would like to welcome PWHL Vancouver to the family and we look forward to your first matchup with our Minnesota Frost in the 2025/26 season

As the Stanley Cup schedules were released the NHL declared war on the PWHL when they forced us to move our games to make way for the Wild & Devil's first round matchups and this made my blood boil as the PWHL schedules were known since October

I can't believe in 2025 the men are taking priority over women and it finally confirms the Purple Trio's supicions from when the Victoire were up against the 4 Nations and that is the NHL is against us

This year's IIHF World Championships were electric in Czechia as the competition came to Europe and oh my was our Kelly Pannek on fire as she helped Team USA go undefeated to take the Gold

Originally only me and Lady were going to be on today's show as Pluto doesn't normally follow the tournament but as this year he kept making snipe remarks we thought we'd drag him into the studio as well

On March 30 2025 the PWHL Takeover Tour concluded at Enterprise Center, St.Louis as the pressure was on for the Ottawa Charge as they were the only team yet to win on the tour and what a way to get it in drmatic fashion scoring two goals 32 seconds apart

St.Louis I know that you could have done better in terms of attendance and whilst I'm not mad I am however disappointed as you only just managed to better Buffalo even if it was only by 66 people

A few years ago in the UK a major snow blizzard struck with the media nicknaming it the Beast of the East and with our Minnesota Frost on a road trip which included their Takeover Tour stops in Raleigh & Detroit I feel that's what we had become

The team needed to improve from last month and while there were a few road bumps along the way I was pleased that Nicole Hensley got back in net and helped her team take the series win over the Toronto Sceptres

During the eighth stop of the PWHL Takeover Tour in Detroit an historic milestone was achieved as the league welcome a million fans in attendance across PWHL games since we launched last year

This is an incredible moment as for other sports teams that would take decades to reach and we've done it in 14 months flat something that should be celebrated not just for the PWHL but for womens sport itself

The Purple Trio gather to celebrate this moment and we could not be more proud as this milestone leaves us well and truely speechless
