  • Episode 45: Dance, Yoga and Strength Training with Jessie Haims
Jessie Haims is one of the sweetest and kindest people I have had the pleasure of encountering. I have really enjoyed watching her progress her skills from a competitive dancer, to an exceptional yoga teach to now studying strength and conditioning. I wanted to pick her brain on how she transitioned from each area of movement, what she got out of each one, and how combining the area can create more holistic strength and better movement quality.

  • Episode 44: Intuitive Eating with Krista Scott Dixon
I feel so lucky to have been able to talk with Krista Scott Dixon! Her and the team over at Precision Nutrition (Check out link below)are doing amazing things to simplify the world on nutrition information while avoiding pigeon holing anyone into 1 particular kind of style of eating. In this podcast we talked a lot about tracking, intuitive eating, and the use of rewards and motivation. A lot of what we learned in the episode is that there is no exact right answer as to what is the "perfect" diet but we can find ways to become intrinsically motivated to eat better. To read more about this topic and what Krista has to say, check out her book "Why Me Want Eat".

  • Episode 43: Mental Health with Guhan Krishnan
Guhan Krishnan is a member at Achieve Fitness and a friend of mine. Guhan has become an inspiration to so many of us around him for working through his physical limitations and injuries with a glowing smile on his face. In our podcast he walks me through his thoughts and feeling from before during and after the event. We speak on the importance of speaking our about depression, mental health and suicide. These conversations and not easy but the more we speak about them, the more we can be empathetic to one another and find more answers.
