Now more than ever it is so important that us as Christians come together united in our faith. If we truly believe we could be in the last days, and we do believe we are, it’s imperative that we reach as many as we can with the gospel of Jesus and one way we can do this is by supporting the local church.
We were so excited to have Channe’l Dalton in the studio with us, as a pastor’s wife and someone that has been in the church her entire life she has definitely seen ministry from all angles. We discuss church hurt, the importance of finding a bible believing church that fits you and your family, the importance of getting involved in your local church and so much more.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Tom Smiley renowned Pastor, author, radio personality and now host of the Tom Smiley Podcast: Uncommon Common Sense. We know that you are going to enjoy hearing from Dr. Tom he brought so many great insights to the podcast and clarifies some misconceptions people may be having around who to vote for.
He ends with saying this and I think it’s something we all need to remember as we’re having conversations with others this election season, “God hasn’t called us to persuade but to proclaim.” Our only job is to love others and proclaim the name of Jesus it’s his job to do the persuading!

Have you ever felt the need to escape? Just a time to wash all your troubles away? I’ve heard stories of kids running away from home and a lot of times the kids had great homes but they were running away out of rebellion. Sometimes people can get so deep into their escapes that they run away from home leaving behind the only true people that care about them. A lot of times they escape into sin whether it be alcohol, sexual sin, drugs, satanic worship or bad relationships - it seems there’s a deep drawing to these worldly behaviors, they don’t know who they are outside of them and they think they need them to be complete. This is just a little piece of the woman’s story we will be looking at today and that woman is Gomer.
There is so much to learn from our story today it’s an interesting one that has a very strange beginning but ends with love and redemption. It shows no matter how bad we mess things up in this life that our Lord is always willing to stretch out his hand and pick us back up.
We can’t believe we are finally on our last episode in our old testament women of the bibles series we can’t thank all of you enough for following along with us through these last 20 episodes. We hope you have enjoyed learning about all of these women as much as we have.

Our story today is about a common, poor orphaned girl who would grow up to become the wife of the King but her story doesn’t quite become all that we would hope it would be…life in the palace isn’t always ballgowns and parties, it comes with great responsibility and sometimes heartache and that is what we see as we study the life and legacy of Queen Esther in today’s lesson.
As we study Queen Esther today, something important to note is that God’s name is not mentioned one time in this entire book of the Bible, no words spoken from Him, no proclamations from His prophets, but throughout this Book we will see His divine hand clearly at work in the lives of His people. As we share this story today, be on the lookout for God from beginning to end.
Esther was heroic and risked her life to save her people she had one of the biggest “for such a time as this” moments in history. She realized their was a purpose for her being chosen to be in the King’s castle and that purpose was greater than she could have ever imagined! What has been your “for such a time as this” moment or moments? Take some time to reflect on those and know that God still has great plans and purpose for your life! You were put here on this earth at this very moment in history FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS!

Have you ever known someone so evil they would stop at nothing to get what they wanted, tearing down everything and anything in their path? Think of Hitler or Jeffrey Dahmer when we hear those names our first thought of them is pure evil. What about evil couples do any come to mind? What about Bonnie & Clyde known for their multiple bank robberies and killings? It seems evil really does come in twos and it holds true for our evil couple today King Ahab and Jezebel. Jezebel would stop at nothing to get what she wanted.
