  • 196: A Little Extra "Wahoo"

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels.  We're shorthanded once again, but a little long-winded nevertheless, as John & Kevin get pretty deep into a handful a various gaming goodies...

Kevin kicks things off with a trio of mobile games that he's been (mostly) enjoying lately, even if he's playing one of them on PC — while John briefly jumps at an opportunity to give a quick update on his time with Outer Wilds.

It's all things Metroid(vania) after that, as we've both been picking up a number of games starring the one and only Samus Aran — as well revisiting an amazing experimental mini metroidvania from the one and only Daniel Linssen.

  • 195: Just Register That Checkpoint

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels.  We're back at full strength once again, and we've got all sorts of video gaming goodies to discuss, so let's get right into it...

John gets things started off with a proper shoutout to Fields of Mistria, which has only come up briefly in passing on previous "Save it for the 'cast!" episodes.

Kevin takes the torch from there, and gets into some of his first impressions on FTL: Faster Than Light, now that he's finally had a chance to check it out, nearly 13 years after its initial release!

Finally, we wrap things up in rare fashion with a brand new game that we've all been playing (and eagerly anticipating), Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders.

  • 194: Marinated On The Shelf For A While

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels.  For the first time ever, Kevin is out of commission this week — but that won't stop Randall & John from chatting about some video games, so let's get right into the action!

Randall gets the ball rolling with his first impressions on WarioWare: Get It Together! — after finally getting a proper chance to dive into this multiplayer driven experience with his wife, Tina.

John takes the torch from there, and dives into a trio of idle games that have been occupying the majority of his time on the Steam Deck lately — including the all-time classic Cookie Clicker!

Finally, Randall wraps things up with a little TurboGrafx-16 talk, after he & his daughter decided to dust of the ol' Neutopia cartridge — after the mini TG-16 console wasn't quite getting the job done.

  • 193: It's Still Sealed, Of Course

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels.  We're back to full strength once again this week, and we've all been doing a whole bunch of video gaming since we all sat down together, so let's get right into it...

We kick things off with a discussion on a trio of games from the wonderful Team Ladybug — a studio that has continued to perfect their craft of both bullet hell shmups & metroidvanias (with another brand new game on its way)!

Randall takes the torch from there, and gushes about his time spent with Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons, after ripping through the game with his wife (and itching to fire it up again!)

Finally, Kevin wraps things up with LocoRoco: Remastered, which he's been playing quite a bit of after recently dusting off his PS4 again.

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels.  We're limping into the new year shorthanded without Randall this week, but we've still got plenty of gaming goodies to discuss, so let's get right into it!

Kevin kicks things off with a trio of games that he's been enjoying on his Nintendo Switch lately — including an incredibly fun & fluid 2.5D platformer & a couple of fantastic pixel art, bullet hell shmups.

It's all things Bethesda RPGs after that, as John revisits (and in some cases, boots up for the first time) a handful of classic games from the AAA giant!
