On Episode 11, I sat down with special guest, Player2HQ co-founder and mental health advocate, Cat B to talk about ‘Borderline Personality Disorder’ (BPD).
Through Cat’s own journey living with BPD, we talk about:
- what is BPD
- some of the signs and symptoms a diagnosed BPD suffer may experience
- daily challenges people living with BPD may experience
- the myths and misconceptions surrounding this commonly misunderstood mental illness. What's true and what's not.
- some of the important things non-suffers should be mindful of if they have a friend, a family member, or someone close to them that suffers from BPD.
----------
Cat also speaks openly about her own experiences living with mental illness, sharing her own story, the challenges she has faced, her history with treatments and recovery, how she continues to learn to manage her own mental health.
Cat is sharing her story and experiences, in an effort to help others that may share a similar story, that may also be diagnosed with having BPD, as well as to help better educate non-suffers, to remove the stigma and common misconceptions surrounding this mental illness.

Hey guys!
Just a quick Side Note episode, joined by my little partner in crime (my son :-P)
Letting you guys know what I'm working on, some insight into future episodes and why I feel its important that we open up this platform to start having conversations with members from mental health organisations and charities, in an effort to help provide awareness and transparency to the work they do and the resources and help they have to offer everyday people like you and I.
Appreciate any feedback you can share on these episodes once released - let me know what you think and if they provided you with value and some new perspective.
Much love guys, take care of yourselves.

Joined with me for Episode 8, Australian Partnered Twitch Streamer and SMG Studio Community Manager, Brad Jolly (AKA BlessRNG).
Brad and I chat about:
- his origin story in becoming one of Australia's most well recognised Twitch streamers and the reasons behind why he streams
- the awareness Brad has been sharing across his socials about his own mental illness struggles, using the hashtag #RNGHeadspace to document his own journey, but to also promote awareness and support to those who may be experiencing the same or similar thoughts, that they are not along
- Brad opens up about his experiences suffering from Suicidal Ideation, including how a combination of life events in a short period of time took a toll on his own mental health
- how a friend had pointed out to Brad that he should seek help, and how that conversation resulted in Brad speaking with his doctor, getting on the Mental Health Care Plan, and started receiving professional help from a recommended therapist
- how Brad has been learning to manage his own mental health, where he finds strength through the bad days, and the importance of implementing self-care
- I also get Brad's insight and perspective on mental health within his exposure to the Twitch community. With streams and content creators.
I got a lot of new perspective and insight from listening to Brad's story about his own mental health journey, I really hope you do too.
If you or someone you know may be experiencing the same or similar signs of mental health / mental illness as discussed on this podcast, please know that help is available and that you are not alone. Please speak with your doctor about it, to access professional help and support.

Reg and I talk about:

- Reg shares his insights and perspective on the mental health and mental illness situation within his own community, the African American community within America, and how he is trying to make a difference within his own community, by sharing his and other's stories
- what options of treatment are available and other alternatives (not replacements) for those who may not be able to access professional help straight away
- the problems surrounding self medicating and the concerns surrounding this short term 'band-aid to a broken arm' type fix to your mental well-being
- the power of having open and honest conversations about your own mental health.

Welcome to the 'Pushin’ Through Blu' Podcast.
On this Side Note episode, I wanted to talk about the Australian Government's 'Mental Health Care Plan'
- what is it
- who may be eligible for it
- how people can access it
- what benefits are associated with the plan for those who are eligible to receive it (i.e. Medicare rebates and access to a range of health professionals)
- as well as some of my own personal experiences shared when speaking to my doctor about it and accessing the plan for myself.
I believe it's important that people are aware this plan exists, if not for themselves then for maybe for someone they know (friend or family member), that may be going through their own mental health challengers and would benefit from knowing this plan and financial assistance is available.
If you feel that you have concerns about your own mental health, please speak with your doctor about it, to access professional help and support.
