Karaline Vlahopoulos recently connected only a few short days ago. It didn't take long for us to realize that we had A LOT in common. I had the pleasure of speaking with her about what it's like being an Education Student at the University of Ottawa in the English department. Although this series is called "Being an Education Student", Catherine Tang is actually a teacher at Calvin Park Public School, an integrated Arts school in Kingston, ON. I had Catherine on my series because she recently mentored a Teacher Candidate for 3 weeks in her classroom for the first time! And I wanted to get to know what the experience was like from an Associate Teacher's point of view. Catherine has so much to share about her three weeks and it really opened my eyes as a pre-service teacher, for my up coming practicuum in the Fall/Winter. I can now empathize with my Associate Teacher and understand what it is like to be on the flip side of the coin.

Jessica and I are both education students at the University of Ottawa. Although we study at the same University, we are a part of two different Faculties, one in English and one in French.
