Just when Charlotte seems to have hope with a 3-2 win against Columbus at the Bank, they go away to visit the Red Bulls and lose with gusto 4-2. Two things are for certain–the defense needs work and PRO referees need higher standards as it seems the latest calls against Charlotte have been well under the standard of clear, fair or obvious. Is the only bright spot that it seems like the star is finally rising for Wilfried Zaha?

Two more matches, and at the end of the week, two more losses for Charlotte FC against Chicago at 1-4 and in the Open Cup against DC United on penalties from a 3-3 draw in extra time. The Crown are in the doldrums of a slump, and there's plenty to discuss for the queens. One thing's for sure, they still need fans to support the team through this tough part of the season!

In another road match, Charlotte FC has possibly the worst performance of the season with a 2-0 loss in Colorado that also saw another penalty shot in the box. It's difficult to not be down on this one, despite the return of Agyemang, Abada, and Ream from international duty, the loss of Privett to red card suspension and another start for new left back Souleyman Doumbia.
