(00:00-25:41) – Query & Company opens on a Monday with Jake Query and producer Eddie Garrison discussing everything that happened over the weekend from Purdue beating Indiana, the massive trades in the NBA, and the Pacers picking up a win over the Atlanta Hawks.
(25:41-36:58) – Radio voice of the Indiana Hoosiers, Don Fischer, joins Jake Query on the show to recap Friday’s game against the Purdue Boilermakers. Don assesses why Mackenzie Mgbako hasn’t been able to play at that level consistently, opines why Oumar Ballo lost his cool at the end of the Purdue game, and highlights the importance of Anthony Leal towards winning.
(36:58-47:25) – The first hour of the show concludes with Jake and Eddie highlighting the recent moves for the Indiana Fever. They have a strong belief that this is a test run for Caitlin Clark to see if she has the ability to lead the franchise to a WNBA Championship with the additions of Sophie Cunningham, DeWanna Bonner, and Natasha Howard.
(47:25-1:11:21) – Mac Engel from the Fort Worth Star Telegram joins Query & Company to provide the Dallas Mavericks perspective on trading Luka Doncic over the weekend. Mac suggests that the front office was fed up with Doncic’s lackadaisical approach to taking care of his body, doesn’t understand why Pacers fans are so quick to wanting to trading Myles Turner, and tells a story about Jake’s obsession with IU basketball when they were growing up as young adults.
(1:11:21-1:23:29) – With the Los Angeles Lakers trading Anthony Davis, they are now in search of a center. Myles Turner’s name has been linked to them for years and Jake wonders if they will finally make an offer that Indiana can’t refuse.
(1:23:29-1:35:05) – Hour number two concludes with Jake and Eddie ranking the All-Star Games in professional sports. This comes from a conversation last segment regarding how bad the Pro-Bowl Games have been since the NFL has gone away from the Pro-Bowl.
(1:35:05-2:04:45) – The Dean, Mike Chappell, from CBS4 and FOX59 joins Query & Company to evaluate the Pro-Bowl and share whether he watched a second of the Pro-Bowl. Additionally, he debates with Jake about the school system Peyton Manning’s son would be in if they lived in Indianapolis and is questioned by Jake about former Colt Jessie Hester’s career.
(2:04:45-2:15:38) – Jake and Eddie give away a pair of tickets for a listener to go see Dispatch in June at the Everwise Amphitheatre and White Rive State Park!
(2:15:38-2:22:35) – Today’s show ends with Jake and Eddie discussing the four-game road trip that starts tonight for the Indiana Pacers in Utah against the Jazz. Plus, JMV joins the guys in-studio to preview his show!
