DD Show Rundown 2/17/2022

(00:00-24:11) – Dan goes over some of college basketball last night, including Purdue’s win over Indiana. Plus, Dan asks show producer Jimmy Cook if the Indiana Pacers are tanking by waiving Tristan Thompson. Callers fail to understand the point that Dan is making.      

(24:12-38:19) – We return from break to ponder further what the Colts could do at the quarterback position this offseason and moving on from Wentz would mean for the direction of the franchise.

(38:20-48:12) – Dan closes the first hour of the show ends with Dan interacting with the YouTube chat and talking more on the Colts / Carson Wentz.   

(48:13-1:12:57) – The legendary Jason Benetti of ESPN joins the show to discuss the Indiana-Wisconsin game that he was on the call for earlier this week. Plus, Jason looks at the potential NCAA Tournament teams in the Big Ten and If IU can get into the dance. Later, Jason and Dan talk about Jason’s brief time off happening in Santa Monica and later Jason compares Dan’s current looks to that of a Marvel Super Villain.

(1:26:53-1:32:08) – Hour number two closes with Dan looking back on the conversation with Coach Beard and pondering players that have retired after winning it all.

(1:32:09-1:54:25)– The final hour of the show starts with a deep dive into players that have won a championship and subsequently retired. We take some calls suggesting players / coaches that might have done so.       

(1:54:26-2:11:12) – Dan asks if citizens of Indiana would rather see Purdue or IU win a title OR see the Colts win a Super Bowl.
