ACTOR - This week our focus is on career advice from the perspective of the beginning
actor. Our guest today is Jamian J. Blackmon. Jamian is a talented new actor whom I recently discovered from
his YouTube video. In watching his demo reel, I felt he had a great amount of natural talent. I think that
with his continued training, there is no doubt he could go on to become a superb actor known to us all.
Jamian began his acting career pursuit in 2005. His first job was as a background actor on "Bring It On 4: In
it to Win it." In 2008, he was cast in his first lead role in the film "Up In The Attic." In 2010, he was
cast in "The Yard," directed by Nathan Zen-Sapien that was featured in the 2011 Garden State Film Festival.
In 2011, he was cast in "Booley" directed by Christain Grillo which was signed to a distribution deal in the
UK. In 2012, Jamian was cast in the film "Deer Crossing," that was distributed throughout the country being
sold at different Red Box and Blockbuster locations. Jamian made the big move to California at the end of 2012
and landed a role in entitled "Color Blind," which is currently still in production. Jamian continues to
attend acting and casting director classes. He is so honored to have been taught by celebrity acting coach,
Tracey Moore.
