The more power you have the more likely it is that people are only going to tell you the good news. Problems will be buried until they explode onto your desk in spectacular fashion. But does that HAVE to be the case? Is there a way for leaders to create a culture where all the relevant information they need to make good decisions reaches them?
Rowley Maggs, Lena Sobel and I tackled this challenging subject and we think the answer is yes. Listen in as we work through the pitfalls and share ideas for leaders to make sure they get the truth.

I have heard a lot of people talk about how hard it is to make friends as an adult. I invited Robert People and Wayne Buckhanan to discuss the topic with me. What I thought was going to be a conversation about why it is hard to make friends turned into a conversation about how making friends works for each of us. Listen in and you'll learn a lot more about my personality than I usually share in these conversations. :-)

Can you help someone else become gritty? Is there a way to give it to someone else without traumatizing them? What is the downside of having too much grit? Listen in as Melody DeYoung, James Blair, James H. Lee and I talk about how #LearnedHelplessness, #Burnout and #Grit interrelate.

Grit, the ability to keep going when the going gets tough, is seen as a valuable asset. Companies love to hire gritty people and being an entrepreneur takes an unbelievable amount of grit. But if you don't have it, is it something you can develop?
Listen in as Melody DeYoung, James Blair, James H. Lee and I jump into this conversation with both feet.
