Most people think professionalism is about fitting in, but what if it’s actually the reason we feel disconnected from ourselves? This podcast explores the tension between who we are and who we feel pressured to be at work, in relationships, and in everyday life.
Through candid conversations, we unpack how different environments shape our behavior, how limiting beliefs form, and what it looks like to actually understand yourself beyond the roles you play.

Lexie Perez - Global Planning Director
Here's a quick bio...in her own words.
As an Afro-Latinx Bronx-raised woman - I bring the intersections of gender, class, and race to my strategic and marketing practice. My specialties include: Advocate for unheard voices, speak truth to power, interrogate binary ideas and assumptions, identify humanity beyond data, translate insights into actions, look inward and outward for fresh perspectives. As a natural outsider, I bring the outside in. I help brands see the world through the eyes of real people and real-world culture - not only consumers, not only data points, not only users. I bring an entrepreneur mindset & spirit to every project.
Before diving into agency planning 12 + years ago, I was a TV producer in broadcasting, telecommunications marketer, entrepreneur, and hip hop music writer. These experiences shaped my passion for human behavior, storytelling, technology, and culture. They also helped me translate my non-strategy skills into strategy skills. Today my credentials span across CPG, B2B, consumer tech, retail, and entertainment, fintech - at both global and regional levels.
I started out my career as a content creator, specialized into social /digital, and now live in the worlds of brand strategy and research. As a partner and t-shaped strategist, I bring a new perspective on helping brands move with the culture. I help them identify new opportunities for solving business problems beyond advertising and marketing. My specialties include high-level brand strategies, integrated creative strategies, people / cultural research, and granular digital/social programs. I think holistically, not in channels.
If you’re a dreamer, a rule breaker and view the impossible as a dare, or just a good human - let’s connect.
