The Quiggin' Out MMA Podcast is back with Episode 63 and features BKFC's first strawweight champion, Britain Beltran (She went with Hart Beltran for the show since that's how everyone knows her)  

Beltran makes her 2nd appearance on the podcast, first coming on the show for episode 23 and she definitely makes up for lost time and gets right into it.   We discussed everything from her tenure at BKFC, what the future holds for her, prior fights and how she wasn't supposed to win,  finding love at BKFC, and what her life is like now that she's three months removed from winning the championship.   

Beltran just brings a swagger that isn't cocky or outlandish. It's from years of work and the time that she has put into herself and her life to make this a successful career move. We even discussed Beltran putting on a gi and what that means for her moving forward.

The Quiggin' Out MMA Podcast is back with Episode 62 and features BKFC's newest middleweight champion fresh off his BKFC victory, David "Redneck" Mundell!   

We get right into as Mundell talks about fighting his friend, winning the title, and how life after MMA birthed his entrance into the world of Bare-Knuckle fighting. 

This was a fun one as we've been watching Mundell fight from the amateur circuit all the way up to his current status as BKFC champion. Mundell talks about his only loss in BKFC and how there are a couple guys on the roster and some potentially upcoming that he wants to fight, including someone he's already fought twice in MMA.

This has been a long time coming! This episode digs deep into the world of Mental Health, what has changed since winning the belt and the amount of hats she wears on a day-to-day basis. It's really fascinating.

The Quiggin' Out MMA Podcast is back with Episode 59 and have none other than current Bellator flyweight champion, Liz "Girl-Rilla" Carmouche!   

This episode had an incredible amount of significance as Carmouche was the first fighter that I interviewed ELEVEN years ago when I was just starting in the MMA journalism field. The nerves and panic were real and it was an amazing experience as this was the person who confirmed that this was something to pursue.  We went down the rabbit hole, re-visiting those interview questions, and answers, all while discussing how much has changed in that time. Carmouche talks about being a mother, a wife, and most recently, a world champion with Bellator.  

This was a really fun episode to do and is full of so many stories and personal reflections. Carmouche holds nothing back when it comes to discussing her career, BKFC, her losses, and how her life has been impacted from a career as a mixed martial artist. Keep an eye out for the special guest who decides to be front and center multiple times during the show. It's quite hilarious.

Eddie was in the middle of documenting the weigh-ins when he learned that one of the fights would be cancelled and decided he would step up and take the fight. It's insane. Stache Mouth, as he'll be referred to, and I really had a great time discussing the love of MMA, what it means as a community, and the entire process leading up to the fight above.  

Martinez takes us through those twelve and a half hours leading up to the fight, his martial arts background, and how so many people are not using the tools that are presented right in front of them. He is an amazingly talented photographer and the work he is doing with fighters is something to keep an eye on. It was a pleasure having him on the show and we look forward to seeing what is next for him, whether it be with his hands on a camera or in gloves in the ring.

The Quiggin' Out MMA Podcast is back with Episode 55 featuring not one, but two guests as the title spoiled for you.

This could not have come together any better than it did. This episode was almost filmed 10 years to the day of UFC on FX 3, which happened to be the first UFC event that I ever attended. It was an immediate love for live sports and the first day I had met any fighter, being Ian McCall. Wineland called into the show on whim and it really just turned into something more amazing than previous interviews. 

This episode is not a showcase or breakdown of Eddie's next fight on June 18. It was a introspective journey into the career paths of two different fighters who seem to have the same mindset and that is an amazing thing to watch unfold on screen. 

McCall, no longer Uncle Creepy, talks about how different his life would have been had he won the title that night against Mighty Mouse. (Spoiler, it's not a happy path). Wineland talks about whether or not he still thought he'd be fighting in the UFC 10 years later, let alone getting a brand new four fight contract this year to continue to compete on the worlds' grandest stage. 

McCall and Wineland really dive deep and explore life, psychedelic's, careers and what life after fighting has meant and will mean, respectively for each of them. Take some time and really have fun with this one and realize that you may get more out of it than you think. Of course, there are some fun stories peppered in here as well as well as some fun facts!
