The Quiggin Out MMA Podcast is here with episode 34 with LFA 102's big winner, Brandon Lewis!  

In this episode, which was a longtime coming, Lewis and I had an absolute blast discussing fighting after an insane four year layoff!  If you watched Lewis' last fight, there was no way you wouldn't know that he had a four year layoff because it was brought up every single chance possible! Lewis shared his emotions leading up to the fight, during the fight, and the post fight elation after getting the victory and improving to 5-0  

We also discussed one of the craziest things ever when it comes to what age Lewis was when he started coaching/teaching and running his own school. Lewis shared his journey in MMA, Jiu-Jitsu, and life and how it has brought him to this moment.  Lewis talked about how important his team has been and how it has helped his mindset not only in the MMA world but in life itself. The depth of conversation we had was just fantastic and I see great things for him in the future.

The Quiggin Out MMA Podcast is here with episode 33 with TJ De Santis!

In this episode, TJ and I go down the proverbial rabbit hole when it comes to broadcasting and MMA.  For those who are unaware, TJ has been a broadcaster in the MMA world since the early 2000's and is currently holding up duties as a play-by-play commentator for Invicta Fighting Championship, Ikon Fighting Federation, EBI, and Combat Jiu-Jitsu  worlds as well as producing multiple podcasts, including Bruce Buffer's "It's Time w/ Bruce Buffer".

He talks us through how he got his first radio internship at 15 and how that changed his life for the better.

The episode goes from TJ talking about his life growing up to his knowledge and experience in the radio and broadcasting world. He even gave us some amazing insight into why we use the terms we do today, the birth of the term "formatical" and how the term podcast didn't even exist when he entered this world.

TJ and I shared some memories of our childhood and learned that we both share a trait that some may view as a bad thing but I say it's a positive thing.

In the end, I'm super happy that we got to sit and chat for the first time. TJ is a wealth of knowledge and truly understands what it is to provide sound advice (I hope someone thinks that is as funny as I did) as to his life and roles within the MMA and broadcasting community.  TJ even gives some insight into a new format he is doing and it's amazing that no one had thought of this before.

In this episode, we really dive deep into the man that is James Lynch. Lynch talks about how he got into the MMA journalism world, why he does what he does, and how important a work life balance is.  

Lynch goes on to give some of the best tips in regards to doing your own interviews, asking good questions, building rapport with fighters, and what you should do if a fighter is difficult to get ahold of or cancels. It's truly amazing stuff.

In this episode, Garcia and Shoaff breakdown their first meeting, training for a similar opponent in Joe Elmore, getting your life right, and why Garcia decided to try bare-knuckle. If you didn't know. Garcia has been fighting since 1999 and has fought in the UFC, WEC, LFA, and many more. His fight with Chan Sung Jung is arguably one of the best fights you will have ever seen.

Garcia is a legend in his own right and a pioneer in the MMA world. To see his interactions with Shoaff on the show truly prove there are still good guys in this sport. The pair discusses what it's like to train with each other and having to put aside the fact that they both compete within the same weight class and how they wasn't going to stop them from being friends. Shoaff also talks about his decision to move down in weight as he keeps fighting guys that are too big.
