  • Screw The Outside World. I Am Good. What You Need To Say Everyday
I repeatedly suggest that you need to develop a view of yourself where you are just “good” inside. The #research game is full of #negativity, and you’ll start to question who you are as a person.
Remember, it is not you that are putting these poor images of yourself in your head.
It’s the research game that is doing that.
It’s a few people that don’t understand what you were about. Screw ‘em.
Develop a view of yourself where you’re doing OK and you are good enough no matter what happens to you.
If you get your paper rejected, good.
If you lose your job, good.
If you get a bad review, good.
    Because you are freaking awesome.

  • You Will Get “Everyone” To Like You
You’ll never get everyone to like you. Often there are people in your life that will not like you for whatever reason. And you likely did not do anything wrong, and there’s likely nothing you can change about yourself to fix that.
What you have to get used to is to say, “bless your heart,” which is a southern saying that means I can’t change you, and I will go on my merry way. It means you have to change yourself, and I have to accept you for who you are
Understanding that there are always people in your life that will not accept you for who you are is a important part of career development.
Get used to saying “bless your heart” on a regular basis.

  • My Podcast Only Has One Listener (Why No One Is Listening To My Podcast)
I talk about what it means when you actually only have one listener or you do not have anybody that’s listening to your podcast. I walk you through how you should feel privileged at this moment, rather than thinking about this as a deficit.
This is a remarkable moment where you can explore things that other people cannot explore. You’ve already jumped over major hurdles to create your podcast.

  • Should We Worry About Key Performance Indicators?
Because it’s difficult to predict performance outcomes from actions in almost everything that we actually do, we should never reward success.
    Rewarding success creates perverse outcomes.
Success is the result of years of action.
You’re far better off, tying your performance to actually “performing” that particular action.
We should not be rewarding success, but we should be rewarding “showing up.”
No one got good by being good. They became good by showing up.

  • You Are Privileged From Your Relationships
I think we need to acknowledge more of the relationships that get you to where you’re going to go. Often it’s a small little relationship moves that make a difference in somebody’s life, especially over the course of a lifetime.
The reason why you get an opportunity is not because of your skill set, but it’s often because somebody is willing to give you a chance
Be the person that is willing to give other people a chance.

  • Push Against The World
Push against the world. The world often feels unbudging in your day-to-day life.
But if you push against the world, sometimes you can move it just a little bit. It takes us unfettered belief that you can move the world just a little bit.
So how do you do that? Just push and close your eyes until it happens.

  • Stop Overthinking Money
stop overthinking money. If you’re more relaxed with your money, and more relax with what you have, and don’t have, you’ll often make wise decisions in the long run.
I think when we get emotional about the things that we possess and don’t possess, we often start making decisions that are harmful.

  • I Do Believe
There is a difference between those that are interested in business and #entrepreneurship, and those who are not.
Those that are interested believe that they can make a positive difference in the world.
Those that aren’t believe that the world is full of problems that cannot be solved.
Like it or not, those that view problems as solvable end up solving those problems.
They end up changing the world , while those that do not, watch the world pass.
    Go figure?!
What is the difference between knows that actually change the world in those that don’t?
    They believe.
